Board and You Bistro & Wine Bar — Restaurant in New Albany

First visit and it didn't disappoint. We went for the 3 course brunch event and it was absolutely marvelous. Highly personal service and an amazing menu, all expertly paired with a cocktail for each course. Thanks to everyone at Board and You, Pints and Union, and The Wine Bar, and special guest Patty Smith (who added a fourth course) for hosting this event! We will absolutely be back and patronize each of these restaurants in the future. Board and you obviously has very loyal customers. At least half those in attendance were greeted with hugs and handshakes. It was a very warm, familial atmosphere without an ounce of pretense. On a minor side note, the table by the garage door could use a little more insulation when it's zero outside! It took nothing away from the experience, especially with the great coffee served. They also take care to feature locally sourced menu items from neighboring businesses like Elderberry and Company, The Wine Bar, and Legacy Bakery, adding a very neighborly vibe to everything. Returned for our anniversary about 6 weeks later and it was even better than our first visit. We were greeted with an anniversary card on the table signed by the staff and several of them stopped by to congratulate us. I had requested a bottle of bubbly be waiting. Of course they took care of that! Dinner was fantastic, the service was outstanding. The four cheese pasta may sound boring, but it was exceptional. They even have a special surprise dessert (I won't spoil it) not listed on the menu for special occasions...and WOW! I'd say they are up...

3/1/25 Edit: this evening my friend and I dined at Board and You. Taylor was our waiter and was pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about the menu. My friend has several food allergies and we were so impressed how patient and genuinely helpful the staff was at the restaurant to ensure my friend ordered something she could eat. Such a great restaurant all around!

Great food, great service! Really enjoyed coming to Board and You. A couple of our favorite usual places have been dropping the ball lately, so we decided to give Board and You a try. So glad we did! When we arrived the dining area was booked for the whole night and we were told we could sit at the bar. Glad we did too, we sat next to a cool couple and then chatted with the bartenders. I have an annoying food allergy, and the bar tender was not phased by it one bit. I also appreciated that the staff were so knowledgeable about the menu. It’s a big pet peeve of mine to go into restaurants and the staff has not tried the food and doesn’t have any recommendations. Big red flag! Not here, everyone I asked all had passionate food recommendations.

I’m happy to say I think we’ve found our new favorite restaurant! Yay!

We visited a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had a truly wonderful experience. The service was exceptional—our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. She was expecting at the time, and still made sure everything ran smoothly.

The ambiance was elegant and relaxing, with tasteful décor that set a pleasant tone for the evening.

We sampled a variety of martinis; the espresso martini and lemon drop martini stood out as our favorites—both were well-balanced and expertly crafted.

For appetizers, we ordered a cheese board and crispy cauliflower. The cheese board offered a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors, while the cauliflower was perfectly crispy and paired beautifully with a sweet citrus chili sauce.

For my entrée, I had the salmon, which was cooked to perfection. My friends enjoyed their dishes as well, including burgers and another entrée that were both flavorful and satisfying.

To finish the evening, we shared the cheesecake and mixed berry cobbler. Both desserts were excellent, but the cheesecake was especially memorable.

Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience. We’re already looking forward to...
