The New Albanian Brewing Company Pizzeria & Public House — Restaurant in New Albany

Over the last 11 year my family and I have always made it a must to stop in at NABC when every we are in town. When we lived in Bedford we would make a road trip down to see our family and friends. We would meet up at NABC to have in my opinion the best pizza and beer cheese you could ever ask for. When we moved to Louisiana for 2 year we would come up for the holidays. We would aways stop in to get a pizza and load up on beer cheese to take it back to Louisiana so we could always have a taste of home with us. Then we moved to Hawaii and we where cut off from our supplier of beer cheese and pizza for the last 6 years lol.

We went thought our with draws and could never find the right pizza place on the island to hold us over until we could get our beer cheese and round house pizza fix until today. The moment our waiter came out with the bread sticks and beer cheese my family's feeling didn't matter to me. It was my beer cheese, my bread sticks and they could fend for them selfs. As I grabbed the first bred stick and plunged it in the the golden nectar of the gods that is know as "beer cheese". I knew I was in for a treat and when I took my first bit it was everything that I remember from all them years ago. With the gooeyness of the bread stick and the cheesenes and kick from the beer cheese I was home. After destroying the plat of bread sticks and beer cheese along with the 7 beer sampler ..... I did save some beer cheese for my pizza crust. I am not a rookie lol. I had found my perfect beer "toil & trubble" for what awaited me next.

When the round house pizza with 5 topping for my wife and myself. The large cheese pizza (no clue what's wrong with them... Cheese pizza I failed them as a parent) came out for the kids. I knew I was in for a second treat of the night. I was not disappointed nor was the rest of my family as we tore into our pizza like jackals. By the end of the night the table was destroyed. 2 slices of our round house pizza and 3 slices of the large cheese pizza where left. The kids where happy and we where too.

So my family (party of 9) met up for my birthday lunch, since I hadn't been there in a while I wanted to eat there. Ordered my favorites, stuffed mushrooms first. Terrible!! They tasted like rancid spinach juice and were just not good. My friend had the calzone which was more bread than anything, and dry. Our refrigerator pizza came out and was decent but lacked sauce and was super greasy, with the hint of old garlic butter. Ham sandwich was good, but had only 2 deli slices of ham on each side, not a 5-6 Oz portion as it should be. Our waiter, was not friendly or did he smile or say Thank you/welcome when addressed as such, where a response should be instituted. Bathroom was disgusting and I was truly very disappointed. I don't know what happened to this place. They ALWAYS had great food, service and cleanliness, but today didn't meet up to a $200 bill! The cake they served was dry and still frozen too! I'm understanding of inflation and busyness, but this was just lack of customer service and food quality and care. Another favorite goes down in flames! So embarrassed that I sold the idea as a good one to go there. None of us will be coming back...

Our server forgot to put in our order and there were 2 tables seated after us that got their food probably 20 minutes after they ordered we waited an hour and a half to be seated (it’s Friday that was fine with us) but to be there for another hour and a half after we placed our order when all we got is 1 sandwich and a large pizza…. Saying they had to “fire it twice in the oven”…. Doesn’t seem right to us? We ask if our order was going to be ready soon and he covered his face(younger man wears glasses, has longer blond hair and was pulled back in a bun) and told the other server he didn’t ring in our food…. We tried speaking to the manager and she just walked away from us and didn’t try to listen at all…. Still charged us for extra toppings when there was hardly any on our pizza at all… said “thanks and come back again, we said we wouldn’t be back and we got back “well I know i figured that” as a response…. We ordered the same thing our first time there and had a great experience this time it was just awful…. Definitely need some new servers or new management who cares about the rep of...
