I have been going to this dunkin' donuts for years. I went with a friend this past Wednesday night, and that will be the last time I visit this store. I usually come to this location because they make my favorite drink, the Cocoa Mocha signature latte better than the store closer to my house. That's will all change as of this last visit. I will never stop in the store again. The latte, of course, was fine, but the employees that were on duty showed the worst display of customer service I have ever witnessed..... We ordered my drink and 2 jelly donuts. We received one jelly and one cinnamon apple stuffed thing. My friend politely asked for the correct one and was met with,"Give me the wrong one you were given" When he questioned why? The response was well, and we were not going to give you a free one? He asked to speak to the MOD, and the shift supervisor perked up at this point and very rudely told him to give the donut back. He stated that this country and the world are going through war and tough economic times and wondered if we could give it to someone struggling for food? Neither of us wanted it for ourselves (we both dislike apple pastries). I understand that things are not free, but we are only talking about one donut here, not a whole order of breakfast sandwiches. Americans waste too much food, and this kind of policy (as the employees all said it was) So, as the shift supervisor kept getting louder and louder, the other girls all started in on my friend. He then tried to ask one more question and was told to leave that there were children there and he had to leave. Not once did he raise his voice. The on duty staff was being loud and ganging up on one customer. My friend and I just left him feeling disgraced and me very angry. To top it off, another male customer chased my friend out, stating, "Get out of here and leave my girls alone." So are there now bouncers at Dunkin Donuts. Never ever have I seen such a rude and actually menacing display as a customer over one donut. Absolutely disgraceful, and we will not be back. ...
Read moreI go to this Dunkin' at night time because I work overnights and I need the coffee to get me through the night. The women that work nights over there are the SLOWEST workers I've ever encountered. I pull into the drive thru, if it's open, (more on that in a minute) and there's long wait times in between each car getting there order taken, almost like they can only handle one coffee order at a time. When I finally get up to the window there's 2 or 3 employees talking and laughing and taking their time, same old story. What's really frustrating is that on more than one occasion I have pulled into the parking lot at 920 or 930pm and there will be a car blocking the drive thru so no one can pull in and the inside is already closed. So the last time this happened I saw a group of people standing out of their cars hanging at the drive thru window, I assumed something maybe was wrong with the drive thru speaker so she was taking orders at the window but when I went to get behind the other people at the window. The female employee inside said 'we're closed' in an aggravated tone of voice. I said 'your closed'?? Mind you it was 920 pm and they are supposed to close at eleven. So those people were obviously there to hang out and talk to her through the window. Like I said, not the first time this has happened. Ive seen that same car blocking the drive thru on other night's too.. I work in healthcare and I really rely on my coffee so it's extremely annoying when the girl wants to close early because she can't handle her job. Management really needs to take a closer look at those...
Read moreI rated this Dunkin' Donuts 3 stars because of it's customer service. I have been to this location a dozen or so times so I waited to see if I would change my opinion because I don't like forming an opinion solely on one visit. I felt the same each time I came here but that isn't to say I have a problem with every staff member because I don't. There are a few that just don't really put much effort into their job and then the product(s) they dish out reflect the mood. I am not saying that anyone was rude and disrespectful, I am saying that a little more care and love could be shown through customer interaction which in turn makes it all the worthwhile to make it a preferred place.
With the semi negative feeling out of the way, I want to be clear on the good side which does outweigh any negative feedback. There are some employees that make it worth the visit and I think people who read this review know what I mean. It's that moment when you come out of work or are headed to work/school and you are in the mood for Dunkin so you head to your local Dunkin and you are approached by the familiar friendly face that knows you by name and knows what you want. These small things give your day a boost even if it's just a 5 minute...
