Tried Ray's for the 1st time, not knowing what to expect. Just that a visit was long overdue since its local to me. It's a pub style pizza and very thin. Similar to the local Italian places in the city. Really, not my style of pizza, but I wanted to give it a try. Went with Linguica, Pepperoni and Sausage. Had a decent crunch, a little greasy, little bit of tang on the sauce. Good coverage with the cheese. Overall taste was okay, not blown away. Was hoping it would have been better. Good value for the price. I split the pizza, but could have easily eaten it all by myself. No issues with service and plenty of parking.

I walked in with my boyfriend, the man behind the counter handed us the pizza and said how does it look? I said “it looks burnt where’s the cheese” he then says “excuse me, I’ve been making pizza for 40 years” I said well would you take a picture of this and advertise it? He gets mad. Very unprofessional. Just get a sub, he makes a good sub.

Ray’s is some of THE best pizza in New Bedford if not the whole SouthCoast.

The place may be unassuming, nothing flashy about the joint, no banks of wide screen tvs or $12 mixed drinks, but who needs any of that when you can just have good food.

Their thin crust is very very similar to south shore bar pizza and absolutely delicious.

Their antipasto is enormous. Enough for at least two meals. Good dressing too, not just cheap packets.

We’ve only had some of their pasta but it was also really well done and the portions were huge.

Prices are fantastic. We got four pizzas, fries and an order of cheese with sauce for right around $50 the other day.

Ray’s is an absolute must if you’re local and if you’re not it’s worth the stop if you’re in the area.

Even my kids (3...

So, so bad! This was one of the worst take-out experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was rude during every interaction. The food was awful. The garlic bread is garlic salt on toast, I was shocked at how terrible it was. My pasta had 2 full cups of water in the dish. The fries were cooked in dirty oil. The only part of my order that wasn’t immediately thrown into the trash was the pizza, which was fine. Their prices don’t match the ones listed on the menu that they manage through their Google Places page. An order that I expected to be about $28 was “$40” - no change, just $40 even. The woman behind the counter telling us this had absolutely zero care or concern. I will passionately dissuade people from going here every chance I get. Do not waste your money...

Ray's pizza is absolutely the best pizza place around, in the south shore area! It's the best little pizza joint, and it's our favorite, hands down!! We've tried a million different pizza places, all over south shore, and everytime..Ray's pizza wins!! It's always the same, so always consistent... the flavor.. the sauce..the crust.. everything about their pizza is FIRE! If you love pizza, then you gotta try Ray's! We live over an hour away now, but my mom still lives down that way, so we visit often.. but we gladly take the drive, atleast 1 or twice a month sometimes more, just for Ray's pizza! Have had it a million times over, and everytime it's ALWAYS the bomb..never changes!! Best...
