Please don’t be put off by the very few poor reviews on here, and listen to the good ones. Believe me. You don’t want to miss out on this hidden gem right here in New Berlin. My wife and I have eaten here on multiple separate occasions, and all of them have always exceeded our expectations! Chef Andrew and all of his staff do a phenomenal job to make this a very intimate, and pleasurable dining experience. My wife and I don’t go out to eat very often, but when we do, and want elegant dining and a meal that we know won’t disappoint, we can always count on this place. Our last visit was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Our hostess Kathleen, was incredible! She was so nice, accommodating, and was very knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and everything else entailed. She helped make a great dinner even that much more enjoyable. Kudos to her! I was so appreciative to her for making my wife’s birthday a memorable evening, which is all that truly mattered to me. The food we had that evening was out of this world! Like previous experiences, our meals were cooked to perfection! Despite what the few, small negative reviews say, I can honestly say my wife and I have never had food prepared so amazing each of those times. The waygu steak I had (medium rare,) practically melted in my mouth. My wife had a venison entree that was also off the charts. The dessert I had too was so unbelievable! I highly recommend the citrus meringue pie if it’s on the menu. It was to die for! I have never had a meringue pie so delectable in my life! The meringue was so, so good! As a surprise to us both, they even presented a special dessert just for my wife’s birthday. She loved very bite. This restaurant goes above and beyond what any restaurant we have been to does. That’s what makes it our favorite, and our go to when we are celebrating any kind of special occasion. We know we are always going to leave happy. The prices for the quality and portions of the food you get are nothing short of amazing as well. You honestly can’t go wrong with this place. I’d bet you’d pay almost twice as much at other high end chain type restaurants, and you’ll miss out on the personal touch you get here. This is the only place I can say we’ve ever eaten at that is more of a dining “experience,” than just going out to eat. They do a great job timing the courses to keep the evening flowing, all while allowing ample time to savor what you’re enjoying. The only note as others have stated, is that the menu does change periodically, so be aware of that. Don’t worry though. I guarantee you will find numerous things at any given evening that you will find unbelievably appealing. I like that aspect, as it leaves a desire to come back and find out what other new delicacy chef Andrew will outdo himself with. He truly takes pride in the food he presents, and the atmosphere you dine in. He often makes rounds to meet guests, as well as make sure they have everything they need to enjoy their night. We will definitely be returning in the near future. Someday I’d like to stop for lunch. They have a waygu burger that I’ve heard from friends is outstanding. Thank you to everyone there for the continued incredible experiences! We look forward to the next time we can support this wonderful...

Updated review 9/8/2022: This place continues to surpass expectations and never fails! And at reasonable prices too! Their 5 star rating remains intact… I only wish I could add a star or two or three to my review!

Dinner with my lovely this evening at one of of our favorite places… Lagniappe Brasserie. The new and improved version of an old favorite Charlie Trotters??? Charlie Trotters was AMAZING, and so is Lagniappe Brasserie! Yes… some may call it blasphemy, but I did just compare a New Berlin Restaurant to Charlie Trotters! The food matters here and it shows!

Our meals this evening. Wagyu shoulder steak grade 5 served rare with clams casino for The Jenny and rack of Lamb served rare plus for myself. 1/2 price bottles of wine on Thursday… BONUS!!! The mushroom ragout appetizer was beyond absolutely freaking delicious and amazing!!! And so was the fresh salad and Russian shchi… the Russian shchi was the best I’ve ever had short of this small remote diner in the heart of the Motherland… delicious!!! Let me not fail to mention the fresh bread and duck liver pâté… YUM!!! And as ALWAYS… not only was the food delicious and well prepared, the service was impeccably PERFECT! Thank you Kathleen and Antonino for a wonderful evening! PS… Sally is also amazing as a server!!!

We normally do not go out for expensive meals like this, but we were celebrating and decided to try it out. Lagniappe is a very small, intimate restaurant. We came on a weekday, so business was not booming, but we hear they can get quite busy on the weekends. Their wine list is not as big as I had hoped, and buying by the bottle doesn't really save you any money. Their cheapest bottle was more expensive than I typically spend, but it was very good. The menu is not very large, but I love the fact that it is all made extremely fresh, and the menu is changed daily based on what they have in stock. I had a delicious meal that was perfect for me; full of variety. We started out with complementary bread served with duck pate, butter and oil. A salad came with my meal. Before dinner was served, they brought out some quiche that they called out lagniappe (which apparently means "a little something extra"). My main course had Emu, Lamb with this amazing sauce, glazed potatoes and a vegetable that I can't seem to remember right now. All of it was delicious and the variety was amazing. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the opportunity to chat with the head...

Lagniappe is an unassuming restaurant offering a fantastic dining experience. We walked in for a relatively late dinner on a Thursday night. The staff was cheerful and welcoming. It happened to be 1/2 price wine night, which was an added bonus! We started with a bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. The dinner menu had many unique options. After ordering, we were served fresh bread and "a little something extra." The scallops appetizer was done perfectly. The mains came with choice or soup or salad. Both soup options that night were delicious - curry chicken or clam chowder. By the time our mains came, I was pretty full. The presentation and flavors were top notch. My hubby had the duck breast and I had the Wagyu beef. No room for dessert, but I would have ordered the ice cream torte. Wonderful, cozy, intimate experience!

After learning the existence of this place, we decided to try it. The tentativeness of the first visit was blown away by fantastic service to start with when we did the reservation and felt welcome. It is a cozy place but was warm and well lit when we went on an extremely chilly evening. Food is elegantly prepared and there is a special vegetarian menu that you can refer and call in early to request the chef to keep it prepared. Patrons here are all frequent visitors. The options for food is pretty large. PS- we went back in two weeks again for the new year dinner. Worth it.
