I was new to the area a couple months ago and had no wheels. I was walking in the rain to my new dentist and left plenty of time ahead so I wouldn't be late. But a nice couple stopped and gave me a ride, so I suddenly had a ton of time to spare. It was lunchtime and the dentist was closed for the hour so I left in search of my own lunch.
I came across Maria's Tex-Mex Restaurant. I was shown in, placed an order, brought to me, and I ate it with no incidents. The food is all Mex and no Tex, by the way.
I checked the time and I still had nearly 45 minutes of waiting left. So I whipped out my 3DS and started passing the time. They were rather busy, but from the corner of my eye I noticed one waitress standing there, just staring at me. Aft several awkward minutes, I figured out she was waiting for me to pay my bill and was standing watch in case I was going to try and slip out.
I waited another 15 minutes just to make sure she wasn't on break or anything and all she did was keep her post. I had wanted to spend the full 45 minutes relaxing in the nice restaurant instead of out in the rain, but I was getting rather irritated with the passive accusations. So I stood up, started gathering my DS, jacket, etc. and the moment I pulled out my wallet, she turned and walked back to the kitchen.
It completely ruined the whole experience for me and the food wasn't that great either. So unless you want to be wrongfully accused of being a thief, do...
Read moreExcellent food. Among the worst service I have experienced. The girl who brought our chips and salsa literally flung the sauce dishes on the table. I said thank you, she just turned and walked away. We waited and waited so I finally asked a girl sweeping the floor of she would please get someone to take our order. She stated she would be happy to help us. Shortly she returned and continued sweeping with no explanation. After approximately 5 minutes a blond girl showed up to take our drink order. We told her we were ready to order as well. This did not seem to sit well with her. She did take our order and left. We waited for her to return, most of our group with empty glasses and salsa bowls. Another couple discovered we were at Maria's, and decided to join us. The waitress showed up with orders. My wife told her our extra guests would like drinks. She rolled her eyes and flung her arms down in exasperation. The look she gave my wife should not happen in a place of business. Parents should not allow spoiled children into public places. I tipped my normal 25%, and explained to the owner or unpleasant experience. He made excuses for his staff. I paid and left,...
Read moreFirst of all this food was DISGUSTING. I went based off reviews online and I couldn’t bare to eat it. So I ordered Lg cheese dip (yellow) it was cream of chicken soup and so thick I couldn’t stand how nasty it was. Sent it back got small cheese dip (white) literally cream of mushroom soup and had a WHOLE MUSHROOM in it. Who puts mushrooms in cheese dip? No Then I ordered Tamales dinner plate (times two) I had my mom with me and no we didn’t finish. I think they were out of a can. Honestly I’ve never been so disappointed and the fact I’m 9 months pregnant and just left a major appointment was really messed up. Then we are brought a ticket and asked if we wanted our plates. I said No I’m not taking this home. $30 for me and my mom and I shouldn’t have had to pay a dime. This isn’t Mexican or Tex Mex this is just disgusting and now thanks to eating there I’ve been sick and nauseous all day long. I’ll never go back. I shouldn’t have had to pay anything for this honestly Taco Bell is more authentic than this. I recommend NOTHING and tbh I think prisoners get...
