Wendy's — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I desperately want to love this Wendy's but I just cannot. The drive thru is supposed to open at 6:30 A.M. I have lost count of the number of times I have stopped here on my way to work to grab a bite and have sat and waited for someone to take my order only to have to leave. This morning, for instance, I pulled in around 6:40 and waited for the intercom. I waited for about 3 minutes and even said, "hello" to get the attention of the worker, nobody answered. By this time, three other cars pulled up behind me, so I pulled forward and stopped at the window to see if anyone was there- nobody was present so I pulled over and contemplated getting a bite from the gas station and as I considered my options, I watched the other cars drive up to the window hoping someone had finally gotten their attention. To no avail, every one of us ended up leaving by 6:45-6:50 with no food. I wish this was a "unique" experience that hadn't happened often, but as I mentioned, it has happened more times than I can account for. I really wish we had a different option of food to pick up on our way to work. Wendy's is a disappointment.

(I will say the staff is always polite and friendly when they are there, but it is so useless to post hours of operation when nobody is actually there taking orders within...

Went here twice two days apart just because it's down the road from my house. The food was good. I ordered 2 Dave's triple meat burger and fries for myself and boyfriend. Really good food. My son orders the baconator triple meat meal. He loves it. But our cashier was the same kid each time. He was rude and loud. You could tell that he really didn't care to be there. He demeanor towards his fellow employees was ugly. Telling her "that is for my drive thru only. I'm not going to be standing here stocking it up all day". His shift manager was standing right there and seem like she didn't care. She never once told him that his behavior was inappropriate. As another staff member was helping me. He kept interrupting her and trying to correct her as she was speaking to me. I was a Manager for years and I wanted to correct his behavior. Honestly I would of fired him along time ago. Not my place or restaurant but it seems like they allow this type of behavior or the shift managers allows him to run over them. It ruined my...

It's always the small town joints that go the extra mile to make sure your experience is worth the money you pay. I got the $7 Biggie bag and the burger was delicious for the lil burger it was. The patties were slightly over done, but its not something I'm complaining about. The fries were fresh, which, if you go to almost any one in the city, you're usually let down by the cold fries. Hopefully they were being cool when they snuck a spicy nuggy in the 4 of. Loved it! The atmosphere not being it's best simply because it was warm in there due to a/c issues.
