Tequila House NJ — Restaurant in New Brunswick

Where do I begin… we arrived at at 8pm, drinks took a really long time to arrive to the table. Fine, that’s understandable, they were busy. But the drinks barely had any alcohol. I don’t know about you but I expect some alcohol in my drinks specially if I am paying $14-15 dollars each. Some time went buy, we ordered appetizers along with our food because the waitress literally left us stranded. I can honestly say We saw her twice (for the drink order and food order)…. Well our appetizers arrived at 1030sh along with 3 people’s antrees everyone elses food never made it to the table 🤷🏽‍♀️. Mind you, we were a party of 11. So out of the 11 people only three people ate. We told the waitress to give us the check that we were leaving and could no longer wait for the food. Turns out she had actually canceled our food before we even asked for the check that’s why our food never made it to us. Was she apologetic? Absolutely not, she was rude, was rolling her eyes and became defensive very quickly when we began asking how much longer our food would take and what was going on. Definitely, the worse service ever. Not only because some of the food took about three ours to come out & the rest didn’t but because the server was the worse and I honestly cannot wrap my mind around it because servers literally live off their tips. You would think someone who makes a living off of tips would be nicer right? Wrong! Anyways, I wish this place best of luck! But they for sure need better staff. (Btw other people were walking out too just fyi)

Oh and before I forget; the only nice person there providing great service was the tall blonde lady! I would’ve also reviewed this place based on their food quality but I didn’t taste anything so yea 🤷🏽‍♀️ & If im being totally honest I may never give it another chance. I really do hope they improve because esthetically speaking the place is very cute and I loved all the cultural...

FOR THE FIRST TIME I TRIED ORDERING FROM THE PHONE NUMBER THAT GOOGLE HAVE FOR THIS RESTAURANT!! IT WAS 10PMTHE LADY WHO ANSWEAR SAID THEY WERENT TAKING NO MORE ORDERS I SAID OKAY HUNG UP THE PHONE THAN MY HUSBAND CALL AGAIN TO A DIFFERENT NUMBER THAT APPEARS ON THEIR FB PAGE FROM TEQUILA HOUSE AND WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE OUR ORDER FOR PICK UP!!

We were excited to have a new restaurant in the area however that quickly changed upon our first visit. The food is mediocre at best while being overpriced for what it is.

The ingredients were not fresh and the drinks tasted like they had no alcohol. When you first walk into the restaurant you are greeted by the stench of 20 garbage cans which are "conveniently" located a few feet from the door.

They also allow patrons to leave with open liquor bottles, many of whom drive off or throw the empties out in the street. You're better off spending your money downtown where it's much cleaner and hospitable. This isn't a place anyone will be rushing to...
