New Castle Coffee — Restaurant in New Castle

I am a native raised in Colorado. I was driving through the Rocky Mountains w/ my wife for her 1st time on our way out of state. We stopped by this place because she randomly chose it for coffee & i like to shop small local business. We got a dozen COLORADOUGH doughnuts which was WAY over priced at $30. They were the worst doughnuts ive had in my life!!!! Worse than grocery store doughnuts. The regular one i had was dry & way below average & the cake ones were hard & dry. I got a whole dozen thinking the thin unique look was just a local thing. I would bet my life these nasty doughnuts were at least a week old. It appears to be the ONLY doughnut shop in that little town so the motivation to improve a cornered market is probably not there. I gave 2 stars for the coffee & service. The owner needs to either stop making/ordering these doughnuts or get a REAL baker in there to show him how. They were so bad i left this review. Might as well just go to the gas station for a cup of coffee and microwaved burrito. Decent cup of coffee. Sorry to the girl I asked for milk tho and looked like hot scrolled for not up charging me to some dumb name for milk in my coffee. It looks like the breakfast sandwich is the only thing made their, and even that probably uses those ore processed egg slabs, whatever they are called. I had to check it out. I had to get the breakfast burrito as I always do anywhere. The Mexican restaurant next door pre makes their burritos and they just up charge for salsa or sour cream and nuke it to death. First of all, Celiac safe!! They had a great gluten free quiche made at a local gf bakery called Sunshine & Moons (I think was the name, I might be wrong haha). As well as, gluten free certified instant oatmeal that was DELICIOUS. My partners non-gf sandwich he said was really good. We both wonderful drinks. My matcha was unsweet and so tasty.
