Bonkey's Ice Cream & Snoballs — Restaurant in New Freedom

The place has delicous ice cream no doubt. That isn't what casued the one star. My fiance and I decided to visit Bonkey's a few days ago. There was a line which isn't a big deal cause I understand that they are popular so that I don't have a problem with. Once we got the the counter the young lady who was suppose to wait on us decide to wait on her friends standing behind us. She clearly knew them as she said "How have you guys been". Which this would of been a what ever moment to if the next young lady who should of waitied on us since her co- worker seemed to have no interest in us, but she went over to the side window and waited on 2 sets of customers over there. All the time the girl talking to her friends who wanted to try a bunch of different samples since they didn't know what they wanted was still taking her time with them. When the girl waiting on the customers at the side window came back she waitied on the next customer in line which was us , but she looked right at us then took a different customer. We left. We stopped there during a bicycle ride on the rail trail. They had some unusual flavors listed and I asked if I could sample one. The answer was 'no'. Wow. I've never been to an ice cream shop that would not let you sample a small spoonful of a flavor before you buy. My friend got that flavor - burnt sugar, and unfortunately did not like it. Bonkey's is always a treat when I'm in the area! If you're in the mood for snowballs or ice cream, this is the place to go. I'm a pretty simple man, when it comes to flavor, often just going with plain old chocolate, but they've got a ton of options for people feeling adventurous! I do wish there were more options w/ soft serve, especially since I love to get the "Parfait", but other than that I wouldn't...
