It was very enjoyable to go to Little Lotus, in New Haven, by the water!! As frequent visitors of its 'older sibling' restaurant, Red Lotus in Shelton, my Dad and I were excited to try it. Little Lotus proved to be a great experience!! The corn edamame, the mixed green salad, and the miso soup, were great starters. We went on to enjoy spicy salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sushi rolls, as well as the Little Lotus Roll (lobster, shrimp & crabmeat). All was fresh and fantastic!! The terrific dessert, a matcha crepe cake, was very unique, and tasty! Tin and Jan were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. I have a food allergy, and felt assured that anything I had would be safe. The only thing missing was getting to see Larry and his lovely wife, so I would like to extend a special hello & thank you, too. If you love great food and service, be sure you make a plan to go to Little Lotus as soon as...
Read moreHad a wonderful experience at the Little Lotus on our first visit! From the upscale vibe to the attentive and friendly staff, we were super impressed at this new addition to City Point and will definitely be back soon. Chef Larry has crafted an amazing menu (alongside Chefs Russell, David and Alex), the highlight of which was the Chef’s table Omakase tasting menu. Our 14-course tasting was a treat for the senses, visually stunning in every way (see pictures below), prepare for a rollercoaster ride of delicious flavors that will delight your tastebuds. The drinks equally unique and exceptional - the highlights including a Japanese whisky old fashioned, sensational Pinot Grigio and a twist on a pistachio martini that’s off the charts. Don’t walk - run - to try this one-of-a kind restaurant that is quickly becoming a must-visit destination...

This is a newer restaurant that is intimate with a patio in the back. There is street parking and a parking lot in the back. Great music played outside and in. The decor is upscale, beautiful and gives you an inviting feeling. They have a carefully curated menu that is paired with wine. We ordered the Little Lotus Roll (fully cooked) and Magic roll (raw). Both very flavorful and beautiful. We watched at the counter while they meticulously crafted each roll. The bok choy was also very flavorful. We ending our experience with the green match multi layered cake that was beautiful. It was light, and textured. Priced very well and the portions are generous with the rolls.
We will certainly be...
