Sellfish is overshadowed by the restaurant by it named 'On the Waterfront'. Sellfish is by far more fair with their prices, portions, and freshness of their seafood locally caught. On the Waterfront is a nice indoor dining with a nice atmosphere, nothing to rave about. Sellfish is 100x better. Their seafood / raw bar, we went during happy hour. My boyfriend said the oysters, clams, and shrimp were fresh and their housemade oyster sauce was super tasty. Their crab bombs (crab cakes but shaped like a meatball) had a unique taste, fresh crab and vegetables - delicious. I had the luguine with marinara, which was just as good as anything else on the menu. The waitress was very friendly and even suggested drinks for me as I'm not a very avid beer drinker. The IPAs, from draft, are also very good my boyfriend said. :) The view is beautiful, the atmosphere is laid back, prices fair (especially during happy hour!) and food is amazing. Will be going back for my boyfriend's birthday!

Absolutely wonderful and amazing! Tonight was our first time ever going to Sellfish and it was one of the best dining experiences ever. My husband and I brought our daughter along, for his birthday dinner, and thankfully we got a seat on the patio area directly next to the rail, so we were immediately harborside. It was awesome! The food was amazing. My husband got the shrimp scampi and I got the fish and chips. He commented on how good it was, which he never does. My fish was crispy - the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Kudos to the chef. Also, huge kudos to the waitress, Jennifer. Not only did she treat us like family, she was prompt and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Second bad experience at this restaurant. I realize anyone or anyplace can have an “off” day so after my first poor experience, I waiting until “in-season” arrived to give them a second shot. On a Sunday afternoon, initially wasn’t too busy, was offered “any seat” and chose outdoors since it was great weather. Arrived at 5:45pm, was greeted by our server, drink, appetizer, and food order taken (sodas, crab bombs, pan seared scallops w/garden salad, and other guest ordered clam chowder and shrimp). Drinks out quickly but then nothing, and I mean nothing else was quick. Thirty minutes later, out of soda, server actively avoiding eye contact and ignoring “excuse me miss” I went inside to find an unknown woman eating at the bar (I later learned was the owner) who asked “do you need her?” pointing to my server. I said yes, when the second server rudely said “what do you need?” I asked for refills and the refills, crab bombs (burnt - overly deep fried) and clam chowder were brought out and we were told “sorry the kitchen is behind.” Not sure what that has to do with refills, but that’s what we were told. Finished appetizer, no sign of my salad, and another 30 minutes has passed. My guest and I decided that if we didn’t have our food by 7:15, a full hour and a half after arriving, we would cancel our order, pay and leave. Well guess what? 7:15 arrives, not a single word from our server (or any other - the owner had finished her meal and was busy talking to “regulars”). My guest got the attention of the second server and asked to cancel our order and get our check. The second server, in what can only be described as an attempt to embarrass or bully us into eating, says in a volume far louder than necessary, “aren’t you hungry? It’s ready. You’re food is ready don’t you want to eat?” I simply said no and asked for the check. Despite this known-to-be terrible experience by both servers and the owner, the check was brought out and we were charged $45 for this awful experience. At the most basic of decorum, the owner should have not charged us (an outrageous price) for the sodas. I will not be back and will actively share (as I am with this review), my experience as a warning to others who might consider this as an option for their meal; simply don’t. TL; DR - terrible experience, 1.75hrs and $45 wasted on 2 sodas, a small bowl of so-called clam chowder and 6 burnt crab bombs. Do not...

Overall we were disappointed. First, we called to ask if they took reservations and were told no and we explained we would have 8 people for a birthday dinner. Was told the owner would call us back, she never did, we called again to speak to her about possibly getting a couple of tables held (on a Thursday evening at 6pm), she said we could for $100 deposit….ummmm, no! We will take our chances that you won’t be packed on a Thursday night! That should have been our first clue not to go. One person from our party arrived early (about 10 minutes before the rest of us) to get our name on a wait list if needed. When she arrived there was plenty of room, so she sat at the bar to wait for us, and let the waitress know there would be 8 of us. The owner overheard her and rudely said oh are you the one who called? Then proceeded to walk away and ignore her, and not take her drink order. Once our whole party arrived we sat, waitress took our drink order, delivered drinks l, took our food order and then we waited….and waited….and waited….(there were 2 other tables besides us). Once the food arrived, an hour after we ordered, we had to ask for refills of drinks, salt and pepper and ketchup. With the exception of the drinks one of our guests had to get up and get the other items herself. The owner wouldn’t even look in our direction.

I will say, for the most part the food was good, a couple of us had the lobster Mac n cheese and it was great! Others had the build your own pasta and they enjoyed it. And one person got the fish n chips, that was good but the Cole slaw was spoiled.

For the amount of money that was spent, the experience was less than desirable. Pay more attention to your customers and as an owner, go around and see how things are going and thank your customers for coming in when they leave. We left and...

I have to admit that I ate there a few weeks back, but forgot all about reviewing the restaurant. I've eaten there several times now, and each time, I vow to review it. So this time... here it is. The atmosphere is peaceful view is hypnotic. You can eat inside, or out on a covered deck. My go to meal is the fried clam strip platter with fries, is always good. I've had the Blackened salmon cooked to perfection, the octopus appetizer, which I couldn't describe except out of this world! I can't describe accurately how tasty it was, but it was a real treat. The linguini with seafood in wine sauce is ffantastic. I recently tried the wings and were surprised at the size of the small order. I had the hot wings, but haven't tried the other flavors yet. My son and I have allergies, and the friendly staff and owner worked with us to ensure a safe dining experience. His go to meal are the burgers and fries. The burgers are huge. It is a small establishment and on occasion, are short staffed (no fault of their own). On one occasion, we were told before we sat that it might take a bit longer for our meal and were given the choice to stay. We sat enjoyed the view. The food came out quicker than we expected and was wellworth the wait. All other times, the food was served quickly when compared to other restaurants of this caliber. The drinks are tasty. My wife likes the blue lagoon. I don't usually drink (the driver), so I'll take her word for it. Finally the waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable, and the owner works to Make our every...
