Big Jim's Pizzeria — Restaurant in New Milford

First time I went here, a customer walked in and complained that their pie was burned and they wanted a new one. The person behind the counter promptly gave that customer the pie they were going to give to me. So when then they handed me the burnt pie, I asked, "Isn't that the burn pie that guy just returned." They had another pie ready so they showed me that one and then switched it back for the burned pie. It was inedible. We called and complained and got no explanation or offer for a new pie.

Today, I thought that I would give them another shot. I called in my order and was told 30 minutes. I show up 30 minutes on the dot and there is a line due to their special. Everyone else was waiting and some had just ordered. I step up and announce my name. As he boxes and cuts my pie. A Dine and Dash worker claims my pie despite needed 3 more orders until he can go out on delivery. After 20 more minutes of waiting while 15 more plain large pies walk out the door, a couple walks in and asks for a large pie with two toppings and the clerk says 15 minutes. At which point the dine and dash guy realizes he has taken my pie and asks if he can get the next pie and give me the original one. To which the clerk replies, "Accidents happen." 3 more pies go out the door and I finally walk out with what they call "pizza." This was yet another reminder of why their particularly cheap pizza is not worth the wait or the aggravation. I will not be ordering...

Shrimp scampi pasta consisted - pasta (dried out) shrimp , insane amount of pasmesan (I love Parmesan but this tasted like from big pre graded bag ) those three ingriendiets were swimming in large amount of regular oil it sure wasn’t butter nor olive oil NOTHING ELSE no spices , no garlic, no lemon - nothing . Lasagna - sorry didn’t like it at all and why marinara sauce is tasteless . . Chicken fingers - burned to dark brown, flat, dry smell like old oil - not edible . Tried pizza - the crust was white bit flimsy looked bit undercooked .

This was my second experience 1 st time we ordered bunch of food and we weren’t happy with it but since it was over a year since, we decided to give another try and ordered the items above - was really hoping for better experience. Nice people but not the food Sorry not a place I would...

This is the 2nd time I ordered catering for my daughter's bday party with @ 30 people. They arrived for my delivery right on time, set up full trays of penne vodka, chicken parm, half trays of eggplant rollatini, and chicKen fingers (which always go..need a full order next time and the honey mustard is amazing), and a five foot Italian hero. While I was running around getting last minute things done, everything was taken care of, ready to eat. Dishes under serving spoons, ladles for oil and vinegar, plates utensils napkins set. Bread and butter set. Sternos lit. Super easy, super delicious. Thanks, Big Jims!! All the food was great, had a tiny bit of leftovers for us to enjoy the next day. Will definitely be ordering...
