Barracuda, nestled in the vibrant heart of New Orleans, offers an unforgettable dining experience, particularly for those with a penchant for authentic and inventive tacos. This gem stands out not only for its exceptional culinary creations but also for its inviting atmosphere, especially its delightful outdoor space. The tacos at Barracuda are arguably some of the best in the city, crafted with a blend of traditional techniques and innovative twists that tantalize the taste buds. Each taco is a testament to the quality and freshness of the ingredients used, making every bite a memorable one. The guacamole, a staple of Mexican cuisine, is prepared to perfection, striking the right balance of flavors and textures that complement the tacos beautifully. While regulars may fondly remember the unique offering of fried avocado slices—a menu item that added a delightful crunch and richness to the meal—the current menu continues to impress with its variety and taste. Each dish is thoughtfully designed to showcase the vibrant and diverse flavors of Mexican cuisine, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate.

Delicious food and tasty drinks. Fish taco was my fav. Came with pomegranate seeds on top, which was different and nice. Option to add beans, cheese, and gauc if you really wanna load up your taco. Queso was amazing, never got hard; came with yummy chips or chicharones upgrade option. In addition to their margaritas they seem to have specialty drinks on a regular. Margaritas can be ordered by the pitcher too (about 5 cups per pitcher)!! I'll have to try the frozen pimm's cup and the chicharones next time. Cute outdoor seating, with both covered and open air options. Picnic table seating, large fans for hot weather, lots of plants, 2 clean unisex bathrooms (one with a changing table) and a pretty yard kitty to top it all off. Staff was very friendly. Never felt crowded, easy to socially distance. Hand sanitizer stations and an outdoor walk up window. Everyone wore masks when not at their tables. Playlist was perfect. Reward points system for each visit. Credit card only right now due to Covid concerns. All on all very refreshing time. I will be back. Good job guys, thank you for making us feel welcomed.

This is an incredibly and I cannot stress this enough casual restaurant. More or less a fancy taco truck. But that’s the beauty. All outside seating you order at a window and the food starts flowing from there. I started with the chips and queso with chorizo. And it was so flavorful. The chorizo was a little masked by the queso but still tasted good. The chips are clearly homemade and that always makes a difference and don’t break when you dip. Being in New Orleans I had to try the catfish taco. I made a rookie mistake and put too much guac on it and it over powered the fish but otherwise incredibly tasty. I will say the deluxe taco just didn’t seem to make a noticible difference in flavor for me. I also got a pork taco and that had amazing flavor too and the pork wasn’t too tough. Finished with a chicken quesadilla and it was a nice little capper for me it was the right amount of food being on the line of too full. And paired it all was a super refreshing limeade. All in all if you like tacos go here

We stayed in an AirBNB near this taco restaurant and we consistently saw a line so we figured we'd give it a try. My wife got the broccoli, pork, and catfish tacos. I got the pork and chicken tacos and a steak quesadilla. We also got All the Dips (chips, queso, salsa, guacamole). The steak quesadilla was absolutely fantastic. The broccoli taco was "okay" but we both felt it needed more of a sauce. The catfish taco was perfect in every way. The pork tacos were delicious, moist, and pleasantly spicy. The chicken was moist and fairly flavorful and was complemented nicely by my addition of pickled onions and crema. We loved all the dips and the chips - not much to say about that. The courtyard seating was also a nice ambience only complemented by the perfect weather.

Barracuda-tacos with perfect bite. Today, after several near-misses with hours/days of operation not coinciding with our drop-ins, we were able to grab our first bites from this wonderful new spot, just four blocks from our front door. Small, but creative menu, simply designed but very inviting ordering counter and outdoor picnic-style casual seating for single diners, pairs, and bigger groups. Mexican Cokes in a bottle-always the real deal. Fantastic house-made chips, salsas, queso, and tortillas, and the tacos themselves-we tried steak and fish...simply amazing. Grab a bite there before the crowds; we're going back this weekend when we can sample the breakfast tacos. Excellent spot.

A cute little taco stand off Tchoupitoulas, Barracuda had friendly service and good food. Even after a mix-up of me not receiving my drink due to another patron’s mistake, they quickly replaced it free of charge. The margarita was simple but tasty and the fish and pork tacos were delicious (warning for some - it’s spicy with the green sauce)! Chorizo queso was good, similar to others out there but with some sort of bean or seed added to the meat that gave it a nice touch. The environment was hot (to be expected) but there were plenty of fans/water stations for guests. Dogs are allowed and there is even a doggy bag station. I will definitely be back on a cooler day!
