Seafood Zone — Restaurant in New Orleans

I started to call this place a "best kept secret", but I'm not sure how much of a secret it can be with 2 or 3 customers inside this small store seemingly at ALL TIMES. An employee at nearby OPSB told me their gumbo was great - I went once and now I go back almost every time I'm on the west bank. it's an unassuming small shop that sells eveything from seafood (whole crab, crawfish, fish plates, etc) to random cash register fodder. Three stars for convenience and different varies if food. $25 wasted.. Mom didn’t like their watery gumbo. My shrimp poboy was sloppy and not throughly cut. They could have just left it as a whole cuz it was sliding off the bread as I was eating it. Fries were unseasoned and dry. I had to dig thru them to eat the better ones. I stop in here at least once every few weeks. If it isn't their damn good gumbo, its the Yakamein or great bang for your buck po-boys. On top of that they are quite friendly behind the counter.
