I absolutely love this donut shop. It's definitely a hidden gem in New Orleans East. I stumbled upon this place while visiting one summer driving Lyft/Uber, dropping someone off to the apartments across the street. The lady who works the counter is so friendly and welcoming. This place is better than Krispy Kreme, Tasty, and Dunkin! They always have warm, glazed donuts, and they give an extra one for you to enjoy in the car, too! On April 15 my 85 year old mother gave my brother an old hundred dollar bill she'd been holding onto and sent him, a regular customer of this establishment, to buy milk and donuts.

Only the woman who was there at the time kept the bill after believing it was counterfeit.

After several calls in which she said they hadn't a chance to check with the bank, I finally reached George, the owner, who'd been on vacation. He promptly took care of the matter, calling me back and confirming the bill was genuine.
