Had the Maine Lobster Roll and the Corn and Crab Bisque. Both were full of flavor but unlike the lobster roll, the bisque was a bit light on corn and crabmeat. I’ll get it again but I want to try the shrimp pasta salad next. The star of the show was the Maine lobster roll. Every other lobster roll I’ve found in the city was warm butter Connecticut style which is good but I love the former. But at Nell Shell, they offer both so everyone can get their favorite style! The amount of lobster was insane and was cooked to perfection. Staff were super friendly as well. Will be back soon!

Really cute little lobster shack. I grew up in New England and spent my summers on Cape Cod. This lobster roll was so nostalgic and made the way it should be. No fillers or unnecessary spices, a generous amount of large lobster pieces, served on a deliciously soft and crispy buttered roll. Staff were really friendly too. Happy to have this place in town, we will be back!

I ordered the Egg Salad Sandwich ($16). The sandwich is a little pricey, but I feel that it’s worth it considering the level of care these entrepreneurs put into their dishes. The co-owner was super delightful and cheery despite being busy. The coastal vibes of the booth on Magazine was charming. I will definitely return to try the Lobster Roll!

Really cute shack but at the moment I don’t necessarily agree with the value of the rolls based on a lack of consistency. We got two Connecticut rolls and one was super full with lots of lobster but with a small sliver of lemon on the side. No flower garnish or anything alike. The other was less than half full and smushed like a panini with a HUGE lemon chunk and a weirdly shriveled daisy in the center. I double-checked to make sure the smushed one wasn’t the one at the bottom of the to-go bag and I confirmed it was the one sitting at the top. The rolls themselves were tasty but I had to transfer the lobster from the full one to even out the smushed one. I’d go back and try them again in the hopes of better consistency...
