We had a pre-wedding/groom's reception the night before my son's wedding at the Lift Bridge. We rented out the place and brought in catered food. Michelle (the bar tender) was wonderful, super flexible and willing to help us with all of our last minute issues (e.g., no serving spoons, filling up pitchers of water for us, etc). We had about 70 people, and it was such a great setting for a relaxed, casual atmosphere that allowed mingling.
