McDonald's — Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

I ordered online and my order was not what I put in. My kids were supposed to have extra fries in their Happy Meals and did not. The order was supposed to have extra fries in their Happy Meals and did not... the order transmitted as 2 kids fries and 2 apple slices. My daughter had 7 fries in her kid fry. I know what I clicked and I requested Xtra kids fries. Secondly, this is the second time I have ordered and not received what I ordered. Last time I ordered a Daily Double and it was not with my purchase... this time I ordered a McChicken and did not receive it. I called and spoke with Cathy. I expressed my dissatisfaction when ordering from this location and she told me there are two other stores in the area I can order from. I asked her to have the McChicken ready for me and asked if she would replace the Daily Double I never received in addition to purchasing two medium fries for my children. She began telling me to calm down, I expressed I was not upset with her but that I am upset that now have to drive back. She continued saying she was trying to help me yet antagonized me and I finally told her that had she have been listening I only want what I did not receive and I would gladly purchase the additional fries. I had to tell her again because she was not listening to my request and finally I explicitly stated I would purchase, "the f-ing fries." At this point she told me that because I cursed she wouldn't help and hung up on me. This location is a fraud and doesn't provide what is paid for... managers deflect accountability and avoid correcting issues and tell people to visit the other locations. This is not good business practice. I failed when I cursed after being antagonized by a "manager," who was "trying to help" me. There is no try, just correct the mistakes and show compassion and understand the frustration behind a guest getting home with incomplete and or incorrect orders and...

💙 11:45 going through the drive-thru on the way home to grab a big old Coke. Two young men on their bicycles about 14 or 15 tried to go through the drive-thru & they would not let them because they were on bikes. The boys explain this to me I am a coach and therefore I went to bat for the boys. LOL So I explained the situation again and asked if the boys should ride with me or if they could just go in front of me & order and I would make sure that everything was covered if that was a problem. They stepped up! McDonald's stepped up and did something they were not suppose to do. They allowed these two young men to drive their bikes thru drive-thru. I'd much rather these young men be at drive-through at McDonald's buying a Big Mac than on streets buying something else. Therefore McDonald's you receive my Gold Star for the week. And the young man at checkout deserves a raise. Fantastic, young, well-deserving, thoughtful, considerate what a special night for all involved. And somehow or another it was paid forward... my dinner was on someone......I thank that person greatly. Everyone learned a fantastic lesson that evening. Including myself. Atrocious, and let me preface this by saying I worked in fast food. Night crew needs to get it together. Lights are on. Drive through lights are on. Lines for days. We know you're in there. I repeat YES WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! You're being paid for customer service and you just serviced the car ahead of me in the drive thru. I get it...that person is someone you know. COOL! However, I am a delivery driver. I am failing someone else because you all are hiding out versus doing your job. That in turn means I can't do my job and my metrics decrease. Thank you for that. Where are the managers? What are you doing? Why is this happening? If you don't want to work DON'T but own it. Own that you are there not to serve food or help customers. Own that you fully lack an understanding of restaurant work. Own that customer service means zero to your entire team. Own that you lack a sense of work ethic. Own that you aren't a worker, that the workplace isn't for you. In turn rest assured I won't be back. Breathe Phew...one down, the rest of Daytona to go.
