It was a fine experience overall, and it was great that they make the Alfredo sauce without tons of garlic - it’s so much more nuanced than that! Don’t expect the personal touch to service that the warm and inviting atmosphere suggests; service is very impersonal and rushed. It’s best if you come during a weekday outside of peak times, or else you’ll be turned away with an indeterminate wait time. We got lucky and only waited 5-10 minutes for a table. The bread was served cold and without oil and vinegar; that was outrageous for a place of this caliber, but luckily we were given oil and vinegar after asking two different waitress/waiter staff. Sangria was good, as was the almond cake dessert. It was disappointing that they couldn’t make a plate of fettuccine Alfredo to go along with eggplant Parmesan - it had to be either spaghetti or penne noodles. Temper your expectations, and it’ll be a fine experience.

Went here with a big group (~10 people) and they handled it like pros! Service was great and we waited a little for our food, but not too long considering the size of our group and the fact they brought everyone's dishes out at once. I got the penne alla vodka and it was great. It was a large portion and the sauce was creamy and tangy at the same time, with a small hint of sweetness. For dessert we shared some chocolate fudge cake and it was rich and sweet, and came paired with whipped cream and ice cream that had a hint of cinnamon. A unique and tasty flavor profile. Overall I would definitely recommend Beccofino, for big or small groups!

Excellent meal. Cozy space. Understated. Warm. Delicious food. Big portions. Thought I'd eat half of my chicken parm (which Cathy, our friendly server, promised was top notch) but I ate the whole darn thing. (Cathy was right.) Hubby had the salmon special - just the right amount of heat to make it special. Both came with spaghetti and their sweet and tangy tomato sauce (gravy!) Salmon dish came with salad - simple yet just right. Perfect meal. Will come back as reggies.

I recommend Becco Fino as a low key neighborhood restaurant serving generous portions of homestyle, not necessarily homemade, Italian food.

The staff was friendly and accomodating. We called ahead Monday night to see if our party of six would have a long wait since no reservations are taken. The staff immediately pushed two tables together and had set them up for us by the time we arrived.

Two appetizer orders of mussels and calamari were substantial enough for all six of us to share. Mussels fra diavolo were tasty, calamari was bland and doughy, not crispy.

For entree, I had a hearty cappelini with sausage and broccoli rabe that did not disappoint. Others tried the night's special of short rib stuffed ravioli that was intriguing and reportedly good. I was disappointed that they were not homemade, but "brought in".

I could not finish my huge entree, so I took it home. My glass of Chianti was poured generously. I sipped a decaf cappuccino while my table mates enjoyed decadent looking chocolate lava cake and peach sorbet in a frozen peach that I am sure was also "brought in".

Checkered tablecloths and bare brick walls simply decorated with a large mirror create a bistro ambience, but the twinkle Christmas lighting strung from the ceiling was just annoying. Management should replace with brighter string lights so patrons don't have to use their cell phone flashlights to...

I have been a regular here for years. When I have friends and family who visit, I encourage a meal here. My last visit with friends from out of town was horrible. We were a table of 5. For this, I have to edit my previous post and give them a less than optimal review. I enjoyed the food, but it came 1 hour and 20 minutes later. We saw other tables come and go all around us. I was so embarrassed after having talked the place up so much. I understand that delays happen, but the server was absolutely awful and made the delays worse by walking away when we tried to understand the situation. She came over once and said that the food will be out in a minute. In truth it took another 20+ minutes. It just made us all feel more disappointed. The food when it came was just fine as usual, but the whole experience with friends was dismal. JP tried to make it better by offering a drink but this came at the end of the meal when we already paid for our meal and were already leaving. I'll go back because some of the other employees are great and I like to support my local businesses, but this experience was so awful, I just had to update. I don't want their service to slip and hurt their business. Riverdale is better with Beccofinos. I should have gotten her name, but I...

I keep giving this restaurant a chance after chance, because the food is pretty decent for the neighborhood, although nothing really special. But the service is consistently inattentive and the wait staff seems rather inexperienced. A while ago, a waitress was bussing the table by stacking the plates on top of one another right in front of me. The other time the waitress gave me a check without cleaning my plate in front of me. That is unacceptable. Where am I supposed to sign? On top of my plate soaked with marinara sauce? There are some basic steps of service that the management should be required to address with their staff. Did I mention filthy aprons and shirts? Another time It took about 20 minutes to check out. I kept asking for the bill, took a while, I put my credit card down, no one came for the longest time. Finally I had to get up and bring it myself to the bartender, while the waitress was having some laughs in the kitchen. It took another 6-7 minutes for them to figure out the payment (it was half cash/half...
