Cafe Con Pan — Restaurant in New York

Extremely disgusted with the upper management!!

This restaurant used to be a gem on the map and it rapidly went down the drain. Upper management started to cut back on a lot of costs. Food from here is no longer fresh, some of the ingredients are spoiled but still served. And worst of all, many of the staff members have expressed feeling unsafe in this establishment.

I interviewed a few of the cooks and waiters and my heart almost broke!

The conditions some of these employees go through are ridiculous!! Many of the employees expressed how hard it is to work for this company. They are constantly scolded, worked to the bone, and threatened to be replaced.

Some of the ex-staff have even confessed to being fired right before they were eligible for part-time or full-time benefits. Many were given lousy excuses.

If I could I will give 0 stars.They gave me the wrong order after waiting for about 20 minutes. I got home to find out they gave something different, but charged me for what I ordered. I called the place to asked about why they gave me something different and charged me more and the guy just didn’t care. He didn’t even try to apologize. They don’t care about customer service. This is the 2nd time they screw up my order. First time, they charged me more money too. If you look at their menu online, they have different prices, the food was not well cooked and the bread was really stale, again I called and the girl who answered just didn’t care she was like what you want me to do? Well I am a regular here and get lucky when certain employees are working. They have one with clown makeup on that is very nasty and rude. I went in to sit down and wait for my sister who was at the piece of cake store down the block and we were going to order our dinner. Well before that can happen the lady kicked me out!!! Place was empty and nobody there but table was reserved for customers only according to her! Well cause I said I didn’t need a menu and assumed I wasn’t eating.
