Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church — Local services in New York

Unfortunately, my memories of 1st grade 1961-62 are not good. Cleaning out old files I ran across my report card and found the address of this school and signature of the nun who terrorized me that year.

My family recalls me as a sweet, intelligent and curious 6 yr old child. My memories of how I felt in Sister Mary Teresita's can best be summed up as "toilet." She bullied me. From my small child's perspective I remember being confused and thinking that I must be a "bad" person. I recall the specifics of some of the interactions we had and remember being so puzzled.

I do remember the principal was very kind.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church is our home away from home. We miss coming to 11:30 mass. Watching mass on TV and not being able to receive is like not going to church.
