I actually contemplated about writing this but I just had too! I couldn’t go to sleep tonight if I didn’t. I just ordered Door Dash three pieces of macaroni and cheese with 4 pieces of jerk leg quarters.

It took them 1 hour and 10 mins just to get my order in a bag for my delivery driver. THREE PIECE OF ALREADY CUT MAC N CHEESE AND 4 PIECES OF JERK CHICKEN. I started wondering if they were raising the chicken from an egg before putting it on a grill…

Driver got here within 5 mins so I tipped him better. I’m hungry and salivating can’t wait to dig in… my first bite my jaw dropped! I spat out the chicken to inspect it if I was eating chicken. To be leg quarters the chicken was extremely dry all around. It’s not jerk chicken it’s bbq chicken with jerk sauce drizzled (lightly) over it! (Jerk chicken is marinated overnight) usually you can tell when you eat the liver part of the thigh. If it’s bland and tasteless that means they just threw it on the grill and bbq’d it. When I say the chicken itself was bland and dry my gosh my 12 year old cooks better than this! Even my one year old spit out the chicken! Lol 😂 also you can tell this wasn’t fresh meaning it wasn’t made today. Had a funny aftertaste.

The Mac and cheese looked good. LOOKED. I took my first bite and was disgusted! It taste old like it’s been sitting for days. Bland and tasteless. The only thing that was good was the cheese at the top but I also am a cheese fanatic! I’ve been in restaurants where I would just sit and eat their mac and cheese alone and go home happy!

Man look after a few mins the more I kept chewing the more upset I got that I just spent over $40 for this nonsense! I ended up throwing it in the trash and fixing some ramen noodles! Typically I would feel bad about talking about fellow Caribbean person but I know this isn’t authentic! There’s no way a Jamaican owns this restaurant. Probably a guy named Bob from Montana or South Dakota owns this place and trying to say this is Caribbean food. Ain’t no way this is a Caribbean owned restaurant. Cooler Runnings, I already do not prefer to purchase food from your establishment, but my experience this morning has cemented even more why I should spend my money elsewhere. See, I'm Jamaican, and the feeling I usually get buying food from Jamaican restaurants is that they feel like they're doing you a favor selling the food to you. The food might be good, but customer service at a Jamaican restaurant is quite often sub-par. There is no haste or urgency in their movements. They get the food to you whenever they get it to you. Such wasn't the case this morning, however. The young woman who served me was quite pleasant. She greeted me chirpily as I entered, and I proceeded to order a small order of green bananas with liver and calalloo. Most other restaurants would serve all three ingredients in the same container. Cooler Runnings has decided that a spoonful of calalloo is a separate order for which they need to charge $5. I was dumbfounded. I can see $2 maybe, but $5 for a spoonful of calalloo? Even the server commented that everyday she asks the question why does the restaurant charge $5 for a spoonful of calalloo? Cooler Runnings, you've been around for a while. I'm assuming your business is pretty profitable. Why? Why? Why are you charging $5 for a spoonful of calalloo? What is this assault on the customer? Having reasonable prices whereby customers feel like they're getting a fair portion for their money is an aspect of good customer service. do not order from this place this place will take your order, knowing they don’t have the food and will send you a completely different order. They sent food that I didn’t order due to them not having my order so instead of them returning my money, they still took my money. The order that they did send that was supposed to be my order. Had nothing on it other than meat and rice no veggies no plantains nothing at night time they do not care about your fool. The night kitchen is terrible even going to the business and they say they open 24 hours they do not have food in the food there is old instead of making new food they continue to sell the old food. Tonight of course I use Uber eats and these people sent me dry jerk chicken, dry curry, chicken curry chicken was like boy you check in with curry sauce. The jerk chicken was dry because it was cooked for so long. The rice was hard in the full took an hour and a half. This business is 17 minutes for me instead of telling me they didn’t have my food or he couldn’t complete my order. These people took my money and still decided to send me the wrong order in at that it was disgusting and it was all do not order from the people that one time you step in and food is good that is one in 1 million every other time after that, you will want your money back stay away from this place...
