Great restaurant. Been coming here for years and they've been consistently the best shawarma place I've eaten at. Truth be told I am your average American customer. My palette is as wide as the city is diverse, as long as it tastes good I'm eating it. With that being said I've eaten shawarma from quite a few authentic shawarma places at the recommendation of discerning people and my judgement stands: best shawarma in the area. This isn't based off of me getting an amazing dish (I have at other places). This place is consistently good. You go to other restaurants and you'll get something amazing one day but then go back and it's a startlingly bad product. Never really had a bad meal here. I order either the chicken or the beef (sometimes both) and admittedly I prefer the beef. They just started a fusion menu and now offer a shawarma burrito. It's reasonably priced and comes standard with their signature garlic sauce and it hits like a cyborg Mike Tyson. It's delicious. Literal shawarma crack. So if you're ever in the area this is a great spot. Friendly staff, good food and they...
Read moreMy first review was very positive but my second is far from it. I visited this place again and purchased the mixed grill, instead of that I got an order of Charcoal. I ordered my lamb cooked medium well but my food was burned to a crisp and when I complained that it was burned the manager tried to convince me that it was just well done that the burned pieces were just "kissed by fire". It looked like my kebabs had a full on hour long make out session with the fire....Not only was the food terrible, the customer service was just as bad. I spent about 5 minutes arguing with the manager regarding the burnt food even opening up a piece of the charcoalled meat and telling him to eat it before they would replace it. The floors were sticky and the tables were dirty as well. I retract my old review and deeply regret if it influenced any1 to...
Read moreWe have ordered from this restaurant two times now and are amazed at the consistency in flavor and freshness. Both times we ordered the mixed grill platter with baba ganoush, eggplant salad, and the house salad. We also ordered a whole chicken (for leftovers) and a side order of the garlic sauce and pickles.
The food is unbelievable. It always arrives hot and it tastes like it was just made. The meat is perfectly seasoned and juicy, the salads are complex and a perfect compliment to the meat. We eat the garlic sauce by the forkful and it seems like we can never get enough.
I will continue to order from here as long as they are open. This will be one of our Staten...
