I remember back in the early 80's i was about to use a Manhattan subway bathroom to pay my water bill, and i had my head down, because i was feeling a little depress, because my girlfriend was not treating me right, and i was wondering what to do about it. So i walk in the bathroom with my head down. And when i look up i saw 5 to 7 big guys well dress, in suits and ties, with big brin hats, and right away i was thinking the mob. And something was going down in that bathroom and i walk right into it. Their were 4 big white guys and 3 black guys all in that small M.T.A. bathroom. So i pertain i was not scared, after i finish passing water, i went to the sink to wash my hands, and the big black guy slowly more out of my way, so i wash my hands, and i wanted to get out of there as fast as i can, before something goes down and i get caught in the middle of it. And when i try to dry my hands with the paper towels, were the big white guy was standing, but he didn't move, he just look at me hard, so with my hands still wet, i turn and got the hell out there. I really didn't think they would let me leave, and i never told anybody about this until now. Because i was always scared they would find me, because the mob can find anybody. I was always thinking, one day when i came home that two guys smelling like garlic, would be in my home, one guy would kiss me on both creeks, and the other guy would put a hold in my head, and the other guy would throw me...
Read moreThis rating is really a 2.5, but I rounded up. I ordered delivery breakfast at around 10 am on a Sunday. The menu was typical diner fare with plenty of options. I ordered their pancakes with 3 meats and 2 eggs, a coffee, and a side of corned beef hash. The pancakes were fluffy and moist, the bacon and sausage exceeded expectations, but the ham fell flat. It was simply low grade deli ham, wet and with no signs of being cooked. The Coffee was just your average cup of Diner coffee, exactly what I wanted with no surprises. The side of hash was a disappointment. For $6+ dollars I made the poor assumption of thinking it would be home made. Negative. I received a Chinese style food container full of greasy meat porridge. There was no crispy bits, pools of oil mired around the edges, and the appearance was generally unappetizing. If you're not going to make your own hash(which you should, its not hard), you should at least cook it on a flat top to a crisp. The canned hash glop gets a solid 0. Other than the ham and the hash, the meal was quite good. I won't order from here again, but if you avoid the hash, you...
Read moreWe used to order from this restaurant frequently. We have since stopped due to the quality of the food. Decided to give it another try and placed an order online. After a bit I realized I didn't change something on my order that I am not allowed to eat due to a medical issue. I called and was told the food had already been made. Okay it was my fault even though it wouldn't be hard to switch out what I wanted since it wasnt a cooked portion and before "Mike" took over it was always an option when ordering online and now it is not. We didnt get our food until 30 minutes after I called and was told the food was already made. We live, with traffic, 10 minutes away. The food was cold and even though it was ordered medium and medium rare both dishes were well done. We always account for travel time so always order our food one temperature lower than normal. This also isnt the first time our food has come wrong or cold, my husband has actually shown up once because the food was not only cold, but squished. Their staff is always lovely and a pleasure to deal with, but I dont think I will be ordering from them...
