Living in the area I come to Outback at Gateway quite often. The service changes and depends on what day you came, who is working, and if it’s a good day. The workers lack costumer service professionalism. Many times have I walked in and the host(s) are on the phone, playing around with each other, or being a complete deer in headlights. It’s not to say that on a good day they don’t do a great job but on other days they don’t. Expect to have many waiters during your meal at outback. We found ourselves to have as many as 5 different people bring me separate things of our order. One waiter to take my order, another for the bread, another for our salads, another for appetizer…. And well you get the idea. Drinks at the bar take a while to come out especially if there is a lot of people. You’ll get your appetizer or side salad first before your drink. One thing is that the food all come at different times. I would like my salad that is my side to come out with my steak not before it and not before the appetizer, same thing applies to if you order a soup as a side item. They struggle some times to cook the meat to the temperature you want. I either get well done, or medium rare and I myself am a medium type of gal. The Ribeye here for some reason always has a lot of fat then meat. Now I know it’s usually a fatty cut but I’ve had ribeyes that have had way less fat then these. The pictures of my Ribeye were from the last time I was there and majority of what was on my plate was fat instead of meat. The baked potato and steakhouse Mac and cheese are the best! Love the steak dip, and their steakhouse fries for appetizer. They use to have the ribs for appetizer but took that out as well with the steak quesadilla. The women’s bathroom was a MESS however. There was a huge puddle of water in front of the women’s bathroom door and instead of somebody cleaning it or what not they just put a wet floor sign. As well with the strong order of urine and the lack of hand soap that was available to use. In all would I come back…? Maybe yes. Maybe no. But do I wish the staff would be a little more trained in their jobs ? Yes. Am I coming back for it simply being outback? Yes. A new set or workers and management is what this establishment needs.

For a place that has "steakhouse" in its name, the steak wasn't all that great. Filet mignon is my favorite cut and even though it was pretty decent here, it was also the worst piece of filet mignon I've ever had. It was chewier than you would expect filet mignon to be and had way too much connective tissue in it which made parts of the cut inedible. Not something I expect from a cut like filet mignon, but it definitely wasn't TERRIBLE and was cooked to medium which is how I like it. I just wish it was more flavorful and didn't have so much chewy pieces. Another reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 was because the salads arrived to the table more than 10 minutes AFTER the steaks did. One was a side house salad and the other was a full size salad, but both came out after I already finished my steak. Kinda weird. But that wasn't even the bad part. The thing that really certified their 4-star rating was the fact that they overloaded my house salad with a TON of ranch dressing. The waiter didn't even ask me what dressing I wanted and I assumed that it would come with a light dressing on the side or something, but nope. I'm actually someone who enjoys ranch dressing too and even I thought it was way too much. I ended up only eating half of the salad because I was too busy trying to avoid the dressing and then I inevitably ended up with a coagulated salad and ranch dressing disaster. Also, their rewards app seems pretty stupid. You have to spend $70 to get a $5 reward. I was hoping that would warrant a free appetizer or something but okay I guess... Overall, a decent experience but not great. I wouldn't come here unless you really like Outback Steakhouse menu items in particular.

Nice place honestly it’s so damn cheap. I paid eight dollars for a drink, every state comes with two sides automatically for free. So if you’re paying 22 bucks for a steak, you’re also getting the steak and two sides included. I got the fries and vegetables. The vegetables were very mad. The zucchini had something wrong and tasted weird, the steak was all right. It was a little cool I thought it be more hot. I don’t know if it was just sitting out and they took more time with a snail process, and he just didn’t bring it out fast enough. But the bartender was super nice. She makes really good drinks I had this margarita that was amazing and honestly the lighting over there. It’s really nice it’s a pretty nice establishment. I will go back, especially just because of the prices and the meals are decent enough like that.

WORST SERVICE FROM JAZEEN Y. Do NOT waste your time and money here. I experienced the worst dinner/service I’ve ever had in my life. My family and I came to celebrate my husbands birthday on 5/10 around 7pm. JAZEEN was rude, inattentive and clearly did not care to tend to us. Her first few words were “let’s hurry up and order” we felt very rushed by her. It’s very ironic because service was unbelievably slow. When she bought the drinks and food, she would drop it and rush off to avoid us talking or asking for something else. JAZEEN did not clean up the table and we had to ask 3x for them to clear the table. Picked up the bread, dropped the butter on my daughters pants- I get it accidents happen- NOT EVEN a sorry. When the meals finally came out almost 45 min later, 2 out of 4 meals were cold. Cold fries and over VERY overcooked burger. We NEVER send or complain about food and when we told Jazeen she made a face and gave us such attitude. That’s not even the worst part… we had to ask her 3x where the food was after it was sent back. It didn’t come back out until about 30 minutes later. At that point, we were all done eating and asked for it to go. Mind you this was a WED night, not very busy. At that point, my daughter asked for water which took almost as long… I had to get up and ask for it 2x. She treated us so cold and we felt uncomfortable. The manager didn’t offer much of a solution. I will NEVER go back to the gateway Brooklyn location. Save yourself the frustration. If they care about their reputation and service, they’ll let Jazeen Y go. BAD for business. Wish I could...
