Dallas BBQ — Restaurant in New York

Honestly, if I could give a 0 star review I would. I had dinner last night with a group of friends (5 in total) at the restaurant. Our server took our drink orders and appetizers, but after that it was almost like she was nowhere to be seen. Then she came back and took our dinner orders and the food arrived. One of my friends asked for a plain burger with just cheese, but got a burger with the regular items on it. We sent it back and asked for a new one and they brought the same burger back, but just took the toppings off. My friend realized that they never mentioned that they were allergic to tomatoes, so after we called the server over and told her that fact she took the burger back and brought a “new” one back. The bun and cheese looked new so we thought the problem had been solved, but I work in a restaurant and know how line cooks are, so I told her to lift the cheese. Under the new cheese was the old cheese that had the imprint of the tomatoes and pickles that were taken off of the burger before. We flagged down the server again and asked her to just refund us the burger because all they did was give us the same burger and my friend was allergic. The server apologized and tried to offer us something else because her manager was pushing her in the back to do so either because he didn’t want to lose money or because he didn’t want us to leave a bad review. I felt a little bad for the server. But after a little bit one of my other friends found a hair under her burger that didn’t belong to any of us and the hair had a split end. So we got that refunded as well. Overall, I’m never coming back to this specific BBQs. The line cooks need to do a better job at taking allergies into consideration and with cleanliness. The manager needs to do a better job at managing and the servers need to do a better job at...

I went on a Sunday with 4/6 of my family members. The wait was 25 mins before we were seated. I ordered drinks and appetizers for me and my party . We were the only table that didn’t receive complimentary water with our alcohol beverage . I then ordered an additional drink we never received. Many servers came to our table with the wrong orders . Once our food arrived, we never was approached again to see if we needed anything or was everything with our order okay .. when we did get a hold of the waiter we requested extra ranch sauce and received It 25 mins later after the food was done. I had to get my own container to pack my food to go. Our hands were sticky we had no napkins to accommodate our whole table. Eventually I was able to flag the waiter down to ask for the check. I then notified a man dressed in a suit, thinking he can help but he was very helpless even after I explained the service I had received. He told me they seat people too fast and they don’t have enough time to properly take orders. (Full of excuses). I ask was there anywhere else I can pay because my kids had to use the restroom and waiting on the waiter was hectic. He made eye contact with a manager and finally a manager came over and quickly took my receipt & didn’t care to introduce himself or even tend to my concerns , he just cared for the payment. First, starting off with the parking. NOT EASY if you plan to use the lot designated for the three restaurants. Very scarce and not easy to get around. I suggest just parking in the home depot area and walk across. Now, the atmosphere of this place is very cool. The setup is open with lots of seating. The host was very nice.

The service is my biggest gripe. I dont like throwing out names or tossing people under the bus. Lets just say the young lady was not very attentive to my family. Took her about 10 mins to take our order. The food arrived at good timing. Once done with the food, the waitress was not seen again for another 15 mins.

While paying for the tab, my wife was told by the waitress she has to make all drinks herself, including the alcohol drinks. I guess thats good reason why she was not very attentive. So for that reason alone i cannot really blame her for lack of attention. I guess this dallas bbq does not believe in paying a bartender ?! Make the waiters/waitresses do it ? Not so brilliant IMO.
