Once again we found ourselves trekking home from a long drive through rush hour traffic after a very long week of work. Traffic was unusually heavy and after and hour and a half crawling home at the amazing speed of 5 miles per hour we decided to treat ourselves before going home to dinner and vegging out in front of the TV. To save time and get out of traffic I suggested going to a nearby café but when someone in the car stated that it had been a really tough week and didn't mind the extra 20 minute drive to really treat ourselves we headed straight to The French Workshop on Bell Boulevard.
Before we even made it to the front door we were recognized as regular patrons and greeted by two of the owners. They were curious as to how they could improve on their menu, selections, anything at all. We stood there for several minutes chatting and could not think of a single thing... I mean The French Workshop is well laid out, comfortable and very roomy, the seating is cozy, and the place is immaculately clean. All of the staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, cordial, treat us like family, and even stop at our table to ascertain that everything we ordered is fresh, meets our expectations and to ask if there is anything they can do to make our experience at The French Workshop more pleasant. We would not change a thing.
Unfortunately they had run out of hazelnut for the honey hazelnut coffee (my absolute favorite) which forced me to try the coconut latte (my new absolute favorite), thank you for running out of hazelnut.
As always everything was perfectly prepared, I did try a couple of sample new pastries they were considering and was amazed at how they could be so spot on when it comes to the right texture, the perfect blend of flavors and their very generous portion sizes. After spending nearly an hour relaxing and enjoying their desserts, their wonderful company and conversation, and the perfect cup of iced coffee we realized that it took away all of the weeks stresses.
The French Workshop is not just a place to dine, it is a meeting place for friends, a place to make new friends, and a place to relax and unwind from all the pressure and stress that life may throw your way.
Thank you for another...
Read more9 months ago whenever I stopped by to get Starbucks the drinks were terrible as 72nd in broadway & queens blvd that I stopped going at both locations. But recently the employees got better at both location and with great customer service.
This location the drinks were a big plus 2 months ago and till now They read the direction what I asked for in drinks. Mostly ordered the venti espresso frappuccino. It comes out to $8 but it's definitely worth it for me! People might think it's too expensive but...
Lately new drink came out called cloud macchiato which was a big fan for me and started to get that instead of frappe.
Not a fan of really sweet drinks but starbucks it gets too sweet because I asked for one syrup but they ignored the order and put 4 instead In frappuccino.
I always order through mobile order but sometime when I get to this Starbucks the drinks are not ready. It shows 3 to 6 mins on the receipt but the drinks are not ready in time. There's almost 7 employees whenever I stop by but 3 ppl are actually making drinks. The rest is either at the cash register talking to each other.
Overall I been getting my drinks correctly & the way how I wanted so I decided to change my review to 4 star and just stopped by now to get two Venti coffee. One came out on time but the other one was a wait so the girl apologize for a wait. Her name was Ree Not sure if I saw her name...
