Disappointed experience I won’t be returning. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The service was beyond poor—our server was inattentive and despite asking multiple times, they never even brought a simple cup of water. The food was just as bad. The flavors were bland, like they didn’t bother seasoning anything. The meat tasted old and was so tough it got stuck in my teeth. As for the fish, it was severely overcooked, dry, and practically inedible. Additionally, the server gave us the wrong bill, and when we pointed out the mistake, they acted confused and took forever to “fix” it. Even worse, they won’t let us leave because of their own miscalculation. Overall, complete waste of time and money. Avoid this place unless you want to deal with rude service and billing issues. Never...
Read moreThe lamb soup is great, very flavorful and savory, great way to start the meal. As for the oyster, although it is $8 per, the oyster 🦪 is huge! Very garlicky, love it!!! The cabbage is quite refreshing, would recommend as well. As for the vermicelli and the mushroom, it is a tad bit on the salty side. Vermicelli is very garlicky as well, if only they lessen the salt, I would rate it 5 stars. All the skewers are great! Would definitely come back for the skewers. And the fish, it is definitely spicy and numbing, be careful of the Szechuan peppercorns. But even though it’s spicy, still great flavor and the fish is...
Read moreI recently visited 有局儿 in Flushing, and overall, my experience was mixed. The food was mediocre—not bad, but definitely left room for improvement. The rice, in particular, seemed a bit off, tasting old and somewhat stale, which was disappointing. It really affected the quality of the meal.
The atmosphere is a bit loud, so if you’re looking for a spot to have a conversation, this might not be the best choice. It feels more like a place to grab a quick bite rather than linger over a meal with friends. While the food was okay, there’s definitely potential for improvement in both the freshness and...
