My wife and I stopped in for dinner. I found the grill on the restaurant app. So glad we went. My wife ordered the Italian sub and it was piled high with meats. She loved it. I had the house smashed burger which is a beef patty and a chorizo patty with cheese, house sauce. I added onion straws and jalapeños. The flavors was very good together. We also ordered 10 traditional wings with the sweet and spicy sauce. Man we loved them. The Bartender/server was excellent as well. This was on a Wednesday evening and had a few good size parties come in. It was only her and the cook but they did a remarkable job. If you get the chance I would recommend stopping in for a cold beer and food. We...

We wanted to try something new and we love supporting local businesses. My boys and I started off with some chips and queso. House made chips and queso were both hot and served fresh. We just happened to go in on one of their 2 wing nights!!!! Wednesday and Saturday. 2 of us had wings, in 3 different sauces. Gochujang, hot honey and 3 pepper fire. All sauces were top notch on flavor, and the wings were crispy and stayed that way. My other son had the Beef Smash burger with waffle fries. Double patties on a fresh brioche bun and a hearty serving of waffle fries. We were highly impressed with the whole experience and will...

Homefires is one of Newark’s hidden gems. Actually—I wish it wasn’t quite so hidden because it’s the kind of restaurant that is so good you fear that it’s going to leave for greener pastures. It has a clean and family-friendly atmosphere with an excellent outdoor patio for nice weather. Specials include a $1 traditional wing night on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as $3 drafts. Wings are the best in town, bar none. We’ll be...
