I sure hope the coffee and cocktails are better than the food. Stopped in for lunch today to check out a new local spot, after seeing raving reviews I thought taking my wife and grandchild in for a quick impromptu lunch would be fun. Menu looked great lots of choices and reasonably priced for the market by today's standards. The decor and fact that the building holds certain nostalgic value was a nice touch. Now about the food, we ordered turkey club and fries, lunch special club and broccoli cheddar soup, and a grilled cheese and fries for the grandchild. I'm not sure what took place in the kitchen but the grilled cheese came out looking burnt on the inside and couldn't even be bitten through, the waffle fries were so over done that they were beyond crispy and the soup tasted like it has be burnt in a crockpot for several hours. The only thing edible was the turkey club that the 3 of us split. I asked for the check and the young lady provided it, I handed my card and she brought it back with a pen and thanked us for coming in. I went to sign the check and add a tip and noticed it said on the tip line additional tip? So I'm now looking at the total and she comes back over and states the machine automatically adds 20% and she could remove it if it was a problem. At that point we just wanted to leave and find something to eat elsewhere. $43 dollars spent and left 80% of it on the plates when we left. Needs serious changes or it'll another place that's gone i feel

This place is really big! I like the chairs but not the stools at the tall round tables, watch out people bc they move up n down and around, easy to fall off of or get dizzy on. The only seat available was a tall table between two others but we took it anyway bc we were there for the band Thistleswitch.... I had the pretzel and queso and sweet honey mustard on side. It was OK, it took me awhile to try it bc I kept getting a whif of something stinky and I really didn't want it to be the pretzels but someone else tried one and said it was fine so I took a bite and was instantly hit with a mouth full of Garlic chunks. I love garlic but was unpleasantly surprised and I can still taste it...I think the pretzel should just be salted it's just not necessary to add the garlic unless requested. I also had the small hot Carmel latte. I really enjoyed it! I would order it again. I don't suggest this place for an intimate dinner or to have in depth conversation due to the loudness. I will come back and try other things.

Apparently the word has gotten out about this great place because tonight it was full. Because they are still in the process of hiring staff, they have had a “soft” opening. I guess the crowd didn’t get the memo because the tables were full. The menu is excellent, with entrees starting at $16 and heading towards $30. You may have to wait for your food if it’s busy but I can’t help but believe this will be remedied when there’s more waitstaff. I’ve had the salmon, the sticky chicken wings and the grilled chicken on my visits. They all are good but the salmon is excellent! The staff is accommodating, experienced and very friendly. I can’t wait to go for breakfast soon! They roast their own coffee and pay homage to the ancestral roots of Licking County with a massive map of earthworks sites. The bar is well-stocked and bar seats comfortable. Bathrooms are pristine. It’s great to see these old warehouses put to good use. Apartments and shops coming soon.

The answer is no.... 1 star is too high. Please do not book an event here. I booked an event here for about 40 people and it was a disaster. First I never received an actual invoice. Money continued to get piled on. They requested fees for such random things at random times and could never ever give me an exact price. Two weeks before my event they added an additional $300 as “food tax” onto my bill. Keep in mind I requested an invoice multiple times and never once got it. Then, the day of the event comes and the room was SO small. Could only fit 15 comfortably and they were not willing to accommodate for a larger space. We were promised 8 large tables and space to fit 40 (they even said the room they were giving us could fit 70, there was absolutely NO way at all that could’ve happened) we only received 20 chairs and 4 tables. Once we set up the room the table that had the hot coffee and cookies on it buckled and collapsed spilling hot coffee all over the wall, outlets and on guests. Cookies went everywhere all over the floor. One of the servers came in and just looked at us and said “oh this isn’t as bad as what I thought I could’ve been worse” as there were little kids in the room with burning hot coffee spilling. Thankfully the chef was big help and got a new table and helped us reset everything. My sister asked the server who had been rude previously if the chef could come back in to help us with setting up another food table to which that server said “he’s the chef he makes food he doesn’t rearrange stuff” even though the chef specifically said “please ask me for help with anything else”. THEN as the event goes on ANOTHER table collapsed where all of the elderly guests were seated and they didn’t offer a different table. Drinks and food went everywhere. It was a disaster to say the least. Communication on their end was AWFUL and we had to fight tooth and nail for a partial refund. Even tho we shouldn’t have had to pay for any of this after the situations that happened. I was so disappointed, truly thought this place would be wonderful for an event. But was definitely wrong on that. So if you want a nice event and don’t want to just give hundreds away, look...

If I could give this zero stars, I would. We hosted my sister's bridal shower here and I would never recommend anyone to host an event here. We were in contact with the event manager and she never showed up on the day of the shower to help, leaving the host that did help us very confused and flustered. Because of that, our menu was never communicated to the staff, so they had nothing prepared and ready for us, upon arrival.

We also booked the large room for extra space, and (I think) received the small room because we didn't have enough room for everyone to have a seat, even though our guest count was low enough that we were promised this room would have plenty of extra space. We were elbow-to-elbow, some guests had to stand, as there weren't enough seats or room for all of us. There were about 25 of us and this room could barely fit that.

We brought our own cookies for the celebration and placed them on a table with hot coffee. The table buckled and collapsed, spilling the coffee and cookies all on the floor. When I told the host what had happened, she came in and told me I was being "dramatic" because the coffee didn't burn anyone when it was spilled... even though the coffee had spilled on electrical outlets and we had to throw away a portion of the cookies we brought in. She was rude the entire time and difficult to work with. Another table had buckled and fell during the event while our guests were eating and drinking.

Overall, we paid way too much for having nothing prepared and ready, upon arrival. We even paid extra for setup/tear down and setup was so chaotic and unorganized, it took us way longer than expected. What we paid for vs. what was given to us was very unbalanced.

The space has potential, but be aware that this is not an ideal space to host larger...
