Neighborhood Favorites — Restaurant in Newark

Unfortunately my experience wasnt what I expected it to be. I approached the counter to let the young lady know I had placed an order over the phone and she replied "ohh thats your order with all that special sauce, thats nasty!" I was so shocked she would even say such a thing. I asked her what her position was there she stated she was co owner. Im not a regular customer, although my daughter had eaten there multiple times. I promise I never expected her to say that to me and then go on to say " its my opinion imma keep it real". I almost canceled my order for the inappropriate comments made. I became alittle frustrated but tried to remain professional which she didnt, she attempted to apologize but I felt it was out of line. I never asked her for her opinion of what I ordered. But I did ask what was the special sauce made of she couldnt give me a clear response. Will I return hell no! Lol The food was ok. I was so excited to give this new restaurant a try! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted! The place was cute! I ordered with one of the wait staff, the salmon and shrimp, and also the IG, which included a cluster of crab shrimp, potato, and rice! While I waited, I drank an uptown, and it was tasty! It took about 20 minutes for the food to come out. When it did, it looked delicious! When I dug in, the IG was really good! I enjoyed the crab and shrimp flavors! I had one of the worst ever dining experiences at this restaurant, the young African American girl at the counter has absolutely no respect & no regard for customer service. All she does is tap away, talking to guys on her phone and when anyone calls for an order, answers the phone "yeah, what's your order?" This is absolutely horrendous! Trying to give customers wrong orders, being argumentative to customers whilst being wrong & strong about it!
