I grew up in Newark, North Newark to be exact, and the GO TO place for Portuguese BBQ was Bloomfield BBQ; but, over the recent years, due to its increasing popularity, it has notably decreased in its quality in taste and in service. But no fear because, new on the scene, Newark BBQ is here to revamp our taste buds. Although, amazing, I have only given it three stars and here is why. Their food is packed with flavor and from the first time that I tried their it, I was hooked. Their customer service is amazing and… THEY DELIVER. YES, all pluses, so why only three stars? Well, they give you a hefty serving of fries and rice but the chicken and pork ribs lack in size and meat. They are basically just bones. We ordered catering from North Newark BBQ for a business event, and the food was outstanding. The pork ribs and rotisserie chicken were perfectly cooked and tender, seasoned just right with a flavorful dry rub. We also ordered a seafood platter, which was a big hit!
