Got them for takeout on my lazy day. The ramen was decent. The broth was good, not some deeply Japanese ramen flavor, but good enough. The meat in the ramen bowls was just pan-fried, not chashu meat, so it was very dry and hard. The egg isn't even marinated, it's just hard boiled egg lol. The price for the ramen isn't bad for satisfying ramen cravings.
The French fries were surprisingly delicious at first, but the middle to bottom parts were filled with rock-hard crumbs.
I don't really suggest the wings there. They're mainly salty, Chinese-style chicken with sauce that attempts to imitate Korean sauce. The red one was way too salty, and the white, powdery one was too sweet with the already salty chicken. It tasted like the chicken was already salted enough, and they should have used reduced-sodium soy sauce for the sauce. So, yeah, very salty. In my opinion, the red sauce should be sweet and the white, powdery one should be a little salty, not the other way around lol.
And the matcha crepe cake... I was disappointed when I received it, but it's a good quick grab to satisfy crepe cake cravings. It tastes like crepe cake, just not very presentable.
The meat bun, mmmmeh. It's the same as those frozen ones I get from chinese stores.
I was planning to eat there some time this week. However, with this food quality, I don't think I'm keeping the plan. The food generally tastes like someone who's trying out recipes online at home, or rushed to learn new stuff to...
Read morePros: The sushi was fresh and tasted fantastic, was presented well. Spring rolls were surprisingly good, a bit on the pricey side for just two small spring rolls though. Miso soup was excellent. Service was excellent, there was only one server for about 6 tables, and we got our food very fast. Restaurant was clean, and well maintained
Cons: The ramen was really underwhelming compared to other local ramen places, pork was overcooked and bland, ramen eggs were ice cold before mixed into broth. Ramen broth wasn’t really spicy, and it was under seasoned.
Prices are high compared to other local places, quality of sushi reflects this price difference, but not so much the ramen.
TLDR: sushi was high quality and tasted excellent, service was fast and attentive, prices are higher than some other local Asian restaurants, and the ramen was super...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked in, I could tell this place had real character. The design and menu feel straight out of Japan — clean, creative, and full of soul (literally!). The ramen broth was rich, comforting, and full of depth, with noodles cooked perfectly. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and balanced in flavor — definitely not your average roll spot.
Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was cozy but stylish — perfect for a casual dinner or a chill date night. You can really taste the attention to detail in every dish.
If you’re a fan of real ramen flavor with a touch of modern Japanese flair, Sapporo Soul is absolutely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back for another...
