Xcape Cafe — Restaurant in Newark

This little coshy place is localized on the side of the heart a Brazilian comunity. Super decorated and full of music, happy People and delicious food 🥘🥗🍻🍰 This time we tried Guaraná wich is basically a Brazilian soda (delicious🤤) As a food we got fish on heavy cream and squid, my fish was almost absent, however I found few pieces buried under the cheese, also I didn't know the Brazilian heavy cream was "cheese" 😅 My husband asked for squid, it came with rice (so good) and beans. The food was tasty, flavored and juicy, however they need to detail a little bit more every plate in order to not have any surprise! The staff was awesome, the black lady is really nice (she knows how to speak but she was busy), also the tall one. But they need to try to learn some words in english, just a few key words like bill, the menu and drinks (if not, it's Ok too) because I asked for my bill and I was waiting for about 10 minutes till someone else came jajajaja Now I learn " Eu quero meo conta" she thought me 😅😘 Last but not less. Very good food but not worth the stress. The service is beyond poor. Went out for a date with my wife last Friday and we decided to go there. Worse choice ever. The good is good but the waitress and bartender treated us as we were there to eat and drink for free. We ordered 4 rounds of the same drink, when it came to the 5th round their brought the wrong drink. My wife kindly approached the bartender and she was extremely rude. She told her to talk to the manager. When my wife approached the so called manager (a very unprofessional person who has no qualifications what so ever) she stated that as per policy she would make another drink but she was going to charge for that one because that was what she had in the system. It’s not about the money, it’s about the respect that any server and business should have for the costumer . We work hard and it’s rare that we go out. want to share the bad experience and disrespectful I have been through today. I did order a food was 1pm. My food didn't show up until 2:16 and I decided to call and find out what happened . The girl who answered the phone said the delivery guy was already left. Then ,after that I did stay by my window waiting when I saw a nissan gray parking at my neighbor driveway. I didn't know it was the delivery guy . I saw him giving my food to my neighbor. I call again ask for my food ,the girl put him at the phone to talk to me. He just said he was outside for 15 minutes and he called me and I didn't answer the phone and he just sold my food to the neighbor . Wich was a lie. He never cald me.
