I was a customer from day one, literally. I loved the place and it had become my coffee shop in Newark. One beautiful Saturday I was so poorly served and so offended that I never went back. The guy whose picture is on the menus made a point of yelling at me, insulting me for waiting to take my order at the table. When I said that I was at the table because they had told me that I could order at the table, he made me stand up and yelled that it depended on the day he decided whether to order at the table or at the counter. I asked for a hot chocolate and he said there was none. Isn't there hot chocolate in a coffee shop on Saturday mornings?????? Another day I met the attendant who works there every Monday and he asked why I disappeared. I told him what happened and thought that the guy in the picture was the owner, such was the arrogance and rudeness with which I was treated.... He told me that he is a very long-time employee and that they had already complained about him. Anyway, it's a great place, but only go on Mondays and you'll be sure to get good service because on the other days that this guy in the photo on the menu is there, please don't go in and cross the sidewalk, such is the bad mood... A shame...

We planned to eat there, but after waiting 20 minutes, we changed our order to âto goâ because we were running late for our appointment. After another 10 minutes of waiting, they informed us that they didnât have any everything bagels left.
Why wait 30 minutes to tell us they didnât have what we ordered? My boyfriend was so disappointed that he simply walked out, as we had waited 39 minutes for a simple order, only to be told it wasnât available. It made no sense.
The employee then offered to give us two muffins instead, but neither of us likes muffins. I asked for a refund since they didnât have what we ordered, but he said he couldnât do that, which also made no sense. Then, after some back and forth, he said he had found the bagels in the kitchen and finally gave us our order.
Itâs unfortunate that the service was so slow and unorganized, with no apparent effort to prioritize customer satisfaction. The food is good, and the place is nice and cozy, but they urgently need to work on these issues to improve the...
