We have been waiting to try it and had a great experience! Excellent service by multiple staff. We had the build your own pita points and a seared veggie pizza. Both were amazing. The beer and blueberry apple cider was delish. Great to have a nice clean place to stop at on the way up north!
2nd REVIEW: Wow! One of our favorite places to stop.....until now!
Arrived around 7 PM on 6/18. The bartender came quickly and took our drink order. Meanwhile, a young waiter who seemed very eager introduced himself and said he would be waiting on us. We mentioned that our drink order was taken and he took our food order. Drinks were delivered by the bartender quickly.
We saw our pizza come up in the window, and after a couple of bell rings the bartender finally delivered it. We waited, and waited for some attention because we were hoping for some parmesan. I finally got up and asked the bartender. Pizza was cold. After eating most of it we had yet to be attended to. I finally had to get up AGAIN and ask for a box and the check. While we were preparing to leave the waiter finally approached us and said, " was hoping to come back and check on you but I got busy." Remember, we had no contact with him since he took our order.
I can appreciate that he was truly pretty busy. The part that was the most bothersome was that the bartender and blond waitress stood around chatting most of the time and did not pick up the slack AT ALL.
The table next to us had to stop the same busy waiter and ask if he could take their order. He told them he would be right back and did not return for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile, they flagged the blond waitress down and asked if she could put their order in. She did.
We stop in about twice a month and have never been so disappointed in a visit. I really do hope this is was a rare fluke and believe in giving establishments a chance before posting negative reviews on line. However, after I didn't receive an email response after a month, I have added to my...
Read moreCame in with a group after a long, early morning golf outing for a beer. Everyone ordered beers, I ordered a water as I was quite dehydrated from several hours in the sun. Our server traded off our table to another server immediately and didn't pass over our orders which delayed everything getting to the table. We helped square everything up with the new server and they brought out our beer order. At this point they asked me if I'd like a beer and I politely asked for a water first mentioning I was dehydrated from being outside all morning (we'd been there for a bit at this point).
That was the last we heard from the staff. They never brought out my water and never came back to our table. We spent ~30 minutes after everyone had already finished their beers trying to flag down staff as politely as possible as they walked past our table. They had repeatedly come by while working other tables and were clearly ignoring us. We'd long since given up on the idea of a second beer and were just trying to get the tab so we could leave. It took one of us standing by the cash register and waiting 10 minutes till someone coming in for a shift helped us get our tab so we could leave.
If we did something to offend someone, I'm genuinely sorry for that. I don't know what anyone in the group would have done worthy of that response though. If you don't want us there, ask us to leave, or at the very least bring us our tab when we're trying to leave so we can get out of your hair. In the end, my experience with the taproom was waiting well over an hour to get a water that never came while slowly getting light headed from dehydration. I'd have loved to rate them on the quality of their product and service, but I wasn't allowed to...
Read moreService typically can overshadow poor food and ambiance. In this case the food and drink were great, unfortunately the wait staff couldn’t meet the average hospitality service bar. Came in as a single went to the bar which was full, ordered a beer and a pizza with the intention of eating at the little island area (no one was sitting there) was told that I couldn’t sit there, and they would clean off a table for me. Upon cleaning the hostess sat another couple at the table I was going towards, bartender (not friendly) said to sit in the “lounge” I asked for the food to go. I sat and waited for the pizza and enjoyed my beer, started a conversation with a couple people also waiting ( that island I mentioned, still no one sitting there) the pizza came in it’s to go box, a server stopped by so I ordered another beer while enjoying the conversation. While sipping on the beer I opened my pizza and took a bite….. here’s where the service and attitude comes in… remember that bartender who wasn’t friendly ? She walked by and under her breath said “you’re not suppose to eat up there” this was intended for me. I had half of a beer in front of me and had no place setting. I picked up my items and my pizza and left. On my way out I thanked the friendly bartender for her hospitality. Oh and that island that I wanted to just drink my beer and eat the little pizza was STILL empty on my way out. Too many other dinning options in this river town, I’ll take my $36 and go somewhere else. Great pizza and beer (riverside country) that...
