Ellianos Coffee — Restaurant in Newberry

I relate completely to the other review here because I went through the same thing. On my very first day on the floor, I was only out there for about ten minutes. The drinks I made during that time were fine, and when I was asked to switch over to another task, I did it without hesitation. Despite that, I was fired that same day. Our training was us sitting on the floor writing stuff down. We would occasionally work together as a group of 5-6 to make one drink.

I was genuinely hurt and confused, so I expressed how upsetting it felt to not even be given a fair chance. Instead of encouragement or more training, I was coldly told I had until the next day to “master it.” That broke me, because I had studied so hard, poured in the effort, and wanted to do well — but no one can be expected to perfect an entire menu of coffee, energy drinks, and custom recipes overnight. It made me realize this was never about my work ethic or ability to learn, but about their unrealistic standards.

For a long time, I wondered why I wasn’t given the same opportunity as others, and I blamed myself. But now that I’ve seen this happen to other people, I know it was never me — it’s them. The culture is cliquey, judgmental, and built on favoritism instead of actual effort or willingness to learn.

This job doesn’t value dedication or growth. It values whether or not you fit their idea of who “belongs.” And if you don’t, you won’t be given a fair chance — no matter how hard you’re willing to work

But thank yall for teaching me all this unnecessary information because I will never have to give my money to you again. Now I make it at home, and to me it tastes even better when it wasn’t made by people...

We stopped here on the way to Gainesville after tubing at a spring nearby. The espresso we got was very good. We each had a double espresso. It was hot and fresh and strong and smooth. The sandwich was disappointing though. Picture of the turkey bacon ranch in the window was a full filled sandwich. What we received was a thin sandwich with 2 slices of turkey total. It did have a good bacon, ranch flavor; but very skimpy on the filling. It was not cheap for what we received either.

While we have not gotten any "food" but just coffee. It does have a "smidgen" better coffee (darker roast), the wife will order two coffees (with three mile long names) and I get just one (with a side cup of ice) that fits in my travel cup just right. The cost seems on par with that "other coffee place". I have never been told that I " "CAN NOT smoke in my own car" when picking up my order!
