Ughhh. Where do I start?
Arrived maybe shortly after 5pm on a rainy Saturday to dine in. Their take out area was crowded, understandably due to the time and the fact that it was a weekend. Cool. Waited maybe about 5 minutes to ASK to be seated after grabbing the attention of a passing waitress who probably couldn’t tell us apart from the crowd waiting for takeout.
After being seated, we began to look over the menu. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered fried calamari as an appetizer, pasta with red sauce and sausage and crispy chicken. My 7 year old ordered a personal pizza. My husband ordered penne a la vodka with chicken.
The appetizer was brought out fairly quickly and shortly after, our side salads. We probably waited 30 minutes or more for the entrees to arrive. First my husband’s order, maybe 5 minutes later my son’s pizza and 5 minutes after that, my dish. As a pregnant and tired woman, it was annoying that the food was brought out at different times and I was served last.
I didn’t hear any complaints regarding the other dishes, but not only did my dish have a hair in it, the sausage was hard and I was expecting it to be cut into pieces. The dish was also cold and lacked much sauce.
I immediately asked the waitress not to be charged and shortly after, a waitress we had never dealt with MADE SURE to come grab the plate. Never said anything to anyone at the table. Not that I wanted it, but she made sure I wasn’t bringing home the food I wasn’t paying for. Our waitress did apologize, but no manager ever came over.
It is extremely annoying to have wasted my time going there to eat, and hours later, leaving hungry, tired and annoyed....
Read moreThe specials of the day are on the excessively hyper side. Pizza is very good and I love their bread they use whether serving it at the table it's a bread basket or using it as a grinder peri completely understand that restaurant costs have gone up in price and they have to convey pricing to the consumer. The hard part about this it's a double-edge sword because not many people can afford to go out as often as they used to. I supported this restaurant constantly during covid and did a lot of take out orders But after covid that's when restaurants got clubbed with regards to pricing of food. Soups can be on the salty side and they are always the same such as chicken orzo but they have to bring more beef barley into the picture and as I said back off on salt please. Vegetarian pizza is very good but I would recommend adding bread and eggplant to it as well and spinach. If You are ordering more than 1 or 2 pizza's call them in at 5 or before and tell them what time you want them ready for especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Parking outside can be crazy at dinner time because they do a lot of carry out business. If you're eating an and you like fried calamari this is not one of their specialty plays I'd recommend doing these breaded by hand include some hot peppers all you get are the little o's who's which tells me they...
Read moreI have been a customer of Yanni's for years. My dad (now passed) used to bring me here for lunch all the time. I have always loved their food. They have THEE BEST Alfredo I've ever had in my life. The reason I now write a review, is because I had them do catering this past Saturday for my daughters High School Graduation. And you know, you get catering and you don't usually expect the best food, normally. The food Yannis provided us was EXTRAORDINARY!!!!! We had Shells, Meatballs, Chicken Marsala, Roasted Potatoes, Mixed Veggies, and Antipasto salad. EVERYTHING was to die for!!! Every single person at the party immediately wanted to know the name of the place, and I was so extremely proud to say it came from Yannis! You made my daughters graduation party so much better, bringing all of the people we care so much about together over the best food we could have ever imagined! Thank you truly from the bottom...
