Chaupain is a nice and welcoming bakery café that impresses with its extensive menu, cozy indoor seating, dog-friendly outdoor tables, and thoughtful family accommodations like high chairs for kids. It’s a perfect spot for brunch, lunch, or a relaxing coffee break. Menu Highlights: Breakfast (served until 12 pm): - La Tartine: Fresh baguette with European-style butter and homemade preserves ($8) - Granola Parfait: House-made kefir yogurt, oat, chia, flaxseed, seasonal berries ($12) - French Breakfast Wrap: Scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, cheese, breakfast potatoes ($16) - Champain Omelette: Gruyère, mushrooms, onions, peppers, herbs ($16) - Avocado Toast: Pistachio pesto, radish, pear tomatoes, microgreens ($18, + egg or salmon extra) - Eggs Benedict: Artisan ham, hollandaise, baguette ($21) - Shakshouka de Tunis: Poached eggs in tomato pepper sauce ($16) - Belgian Waffle: With Nutella, vanilla Chantilly, berries ($12) - Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Pain Perdu (French Toast) also available ($16 each) Kids’ Menu: - Includes French toast, scrambled eggs, grilled cheese, or mac and cheese — all served with fruit or juice ($9–10) Lunch (served until 3 pm, includes mixed green salad): - Soups: French Onion Soup ($12), Soup of the Day ($9) - Salads: Chaupain Cobb ($18), Countryside ($15), Harvest Salad ($15) -Sandwiches (all $17): Roasted Lamb, Chicken Pesto, Tuna Niçoise, California Club, Chicken Salad, Veggie, Croque Monsieur, and more. Try the Chaupain Burger: Wagyu beef, bacon, smoked gouda, tomato jam ($18) French Dip, Merguez, and other gourmet options also available Coffee & Tea: -Drip coffee ($3.50 - $4), espresso ($3), cappuccino ($5 - $6), matcha or mocha ($5.25 - 6.25) Specialty drinks include Hammerhead, Borgia, and assorted teas ($3.25 - 5.50) Pastries & Baked Goods: Chaupain also offers a wide selection of house-made pastries and baked treats available separately at the counter: croissants, muffins, danishes, tarts, and more, truly something for every taste. Staff are friendly and the environment is warm and relaxing. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty brunch, a light salad, or just a perfect croissant with your coffee, Chaupain is a sweet spot worth visiting.

Excellent wraps, sandwiches, croissants, the ingredients used are very fresh and tastes are well put together. Their Raspberry Chocolate Chip cake comes in a loaf just like a bread, extremely delicious, highly recommended to buy this as a takeawayto consume as breakfast or teabreak. We ordered the wraps, Sunrise Croissant and various pastries (refer to photos) for takeaways. To sum up almost everything is VERY Yummilicious ! Wraps/Sandwiches comes with the choice of roasted potatos or salad. Coffee are just ok so you may skip however they do offer ice water. Cafe can be very crowded on weekends morning but be patient and you’ll find seats. The big plus point at this location is that they provide 2 clean and spacious restrooms for their patrons. The service at this location is much better than Laguna Niguel, special mention to Manager Hazel ! She is attentive to customers’ needs, remembers her customers (though this is our second visit post opening of this store). Hazel is a special GEM to keep and grow together with Chaupain ! Overall, highly recommended especially their croissants, pastries and tarts, probably DA BEST I’ve tried whilst in LA, gives Porto’s pastries a run for it’s monies ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🥐🍞❤️ Chaupain, will continue to visit each time we head back to LA!

The French onion soup was average – not particularly flavorful or memorable. The cappuccino with almond milk was also just average , nothing that stood out. The croissant was soft and not crispy enough, but again very average. Overall, the experience was fine but nothing special. I’ve had a better experience here in the past, but it seems like the quality has gone down, possibly because the place has gotten so busy.

Have been pretty frequently with my family since their opening. Excellent place to come for pastries and coffee!

Staff is very helpful and patient even amidst a chaotic weekend rush. They know their product and are attentive.

The espresso they use for coffee drinks is not only incredibly smooth (which I attribute in part to quality and in part to the shop consistently and effectively timing their shots) but has the added benefit of being local. I get a flat white and don’t even have to add sugar (and I otherwise always add sugar to my coffee).

While the inside tables tend to fill up, there is ample and shaded outside seating. We like to take to-go as well and take the kids to the park across the street.

I recommend asking for pastries to be heated up

Recs: cinnamon cream cheese cruffin Almond croissant Paris Brest Raspberry danish Pistachio caramel custard Cookie bag of cinnamon almond cookies

I almost never leave without taking a baguette to make sandwiches at home with (never made with bromated flour!) or brioche for...
