Parakeet Cafe is a cozy and popular spot with a great selection of tasty dishes and drinks. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is perfect for enjoying fresh air while you eat.
The menu is very diverse, offering delicious breakfast and lunch options. You can find items like avocado toast, mushroom toast, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, and various bowls like the superfood bowl and Parakeet bowl. They also have fresh pastries, like croissants and waffles, and options for those with dietary preferences – there are gluten-free, vegan, and keto-friendly choices.
The drinks menu is just as impressive, with coffee choices from classic drip to unique signature lattes, along with matcha and tea options. They also have wellness lattes with superfoods, like the Magic Mushroom Matcha, and fresh smoothies with ingredients like berries, fruits, and greens. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. It’s a popular spot, especially around noon on weekends, so there can be a bit of a line, but that just shows how in-demand this cafe is. The staff is very friendly and attentive, making sure everyone feels welcomed and taken care of.
Some tips: to avoid the busiest times, come either before noon or a bit later. Definitely try one of the wellness lattes or smoothies, as they offer flavors you won’t find elsewhere. The outdoor seating is a great option if you enjoy dining in fresh air.

Read moreI went here for the first time and didn't think it was that great. I had got the Chicken Caesar Wrap. It was terribly dry and burnt. It had crunchy garbanzo beans that I didn't care for. The lettuce in it was also on the soggy end. I only ate half of the wrap and then just threw the rest away. Made food when I got home instead, which was much better. I noticed some others felt the same way about the chicken. Don't know if it's always like that or if it was an off day.
I'm also probably one of the least picky eaters anyone has ever met out there, so the fact that I felt this way is saying something. The cookies were good though and so was the staff. They were nice. It's no one's fault. The wrap was just a big thumbs down. They had a long line out the door that barely moved if that's a problem for you. The wrap was also $22 - overpriced for that. Wouldn't pay more than $10. Just a waste in the end. But now I know. Tried this place and just couldn't continue gnawing on the dry, rough, burnt, hard chicken. Like I said, it could've been an off day there, who knows, but I might advise against the Chicken Caeser Wrap - or any chicken for that matter here.
If I one day decide to brave this place again and try something else to give it another chance, then I'll amend this review, but it's doubtful I'd race back to a place that overcharges for dry rough...
Read moreI really thought this place would be good based on all the reviews, but good gosh everything we ordered was a disappointment. They specifically listed rotating beers on tap, yet they only had one type of canned blonde ale. Okay, fine, that happens. We ordered shakshuka, and it had literal boiled eggs instead of runny, chunks of feta and tomato instead of finely chopped, and tasted like pasta sauce. Not that it tasted bad, but it certainly wasn’t shakshuka; it was just clearly a rushed dish. Plus it was served with just two small slices of bread? Okay, fine, different places serve it differently, and it still tasted yummy enough. Finally, we thought maybe the meal would be salvaged by their in-house made sourdough bread. NOPE. It was dry and dense, and only then did we see the ingredients: oat flour, buckwheat flour, sorghum flour, tapioca flour, potato starch… Basically everything other than a standard sourdough loaf. Okay, fine, I supposed I should have read the “fine print.” But frankly by the end, everything was each its own version of a disappointment, that I just couldn’t recommend this place. Service and atmosphere was perfectly lovely, which is why it...
