WOW! Just so much fun! My husband loves frozen bananas but with life always getting in the way it has been difficult for us to carve out time to drive down to Balboa Island very often. So how excited was I when I discovered that they have a beautiful big blue Banana-mobile that delivers!! For my husband's birthday this year we placed an order with Sugar 'n Spice. We were able to customize everything we wanted - dips and toppings - plus not only bananas were on the menu! We chose bananas, of course, but also balboa ice cream bars, ice cream cookie sandwiches and even dipped frozen cheesecake! We will try the Tiramisu next time!

The van arrived on time and we were given our treats - all individually wrapped and labeled. Masks, gloves, social distancing and all covid precautions were followed.

What a fun experience! I highly recommend this for any birthday or event you may be having. Can't wait for post-pandemic when the van will actually become a real dipping station - where they can make it while you wait. But in the meantime - what an excellent option for a fun birthday surprise. Being able to customize our order ahead of time was fabulous! HIGHLY...

The girls were really rude, and I hate to say that but it's true. Also, there was an article in newspaper couple months ago about the owners and how they are the original ones etc, showed pic, gave names and said this store is home of the Frozen Banana 🍌, super cute story...I had called and spoken to owner 1 night, she was so Kind and sweet, such great conversation, and I went to get 1 with my friend last week and the girls working had ZERO personality or customer service, dismissed the owner when I inquired, not helpful, knowledgeable or even smiled once. You would have thought they were being held hostage there. And for $7 something per Frozen banana, that's not cool. So I go to pay, and they point to a little note saying "No CASH"...wait what??! Who doesn't take cash??! SERIOUSLY only apple 🍎 pay and something else, so I left 🤷‍♀️ the whole thing kinda blew my mind. Maybe it was an off day or extenuating circumstances that I know nothing about, but for their sake, I hope that wasn't a regular day...I don't, I want to give the benefit...

Fans of the perfect frozen banana and Arrested Development (the TV show) must make it to this family-owned gem that's been in business for 79 years.

Their bananas are perfectly frozen to the point they can be bitten without that usual rock-hard consistency with most frozen bananas. One can actually bite the banana and enjoy all of it, topping included.

It's a simple process to order: pick your item (frozen banana, ice cream bar, frozen cheesecake, frozen tiramisu; pick a dip (classic chocolate [dairy free], dark chocolate or cherry; and choose your topping (endless choices like crushed Oreos, peanuts, almonds, sprinkles, toasted coconut, etc). Each item is reasonably priced, $6.50 foe the bananas.

You won't get a better frozen banana anywhere else. Don't fall for the other "original" banana vendor. It's...
