Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Newport

I stopped at Smithfields on 5/30/2025 at 5:18 pm guest # 251 and ordered a tailgate special / with BBQ , potato salad, Cole slaw and hush puppies. When I got home and ready to eat I noticed that one of the breasts was very small and very dry, the other breast was a little larger, but it was dry also . After looking at the rest of the chicken I was totally disappointed. The thighs were also small ( see pictures ) and the legs looked like wing piece. The potato salad was like pudding with no chunks of potatoes.I ate here a couple of weeks ago and the chicken was awesome. I hope this is just a one time thing, Other than that everything else was good. The next time I go there if everything is right , I would definitely give 5 stars. Review has been edited to explain the out come: So, I called the restaurant, they were SUPER busy, but, both the very Nice employee AND the Manager on Duty listened and there was a great resolution. Not gonna share exactly what is was, because I don't want folks to take advantage. 3 stars was brought up to 5 and I am reminded that customer service still is a thing. Thank you to all! Went here because I was happy it opened close to home. We live in Havelock and we're saddened when that one went away. The building looks beautiful! I love the colors, seating and the lights! We ordered food which went well the only part I didn't like was we paid by card and as much as I appreciate someone making our drinks almost immediately at least let me pay first lol.. kinda didn't like how we couldn't pay immediately and then wait for our food.. the gentlemen Infront of us at the time paid with cash and we're waiting for their drinks and change.. so we had to step back and let them get their change and drinks.. we went on opening day.....
