Atmosphere is boisterous and great for families in the dining rooms. Bar is lively and full on apre ski. Food was a B- and I’m being generous. Family of four out the door for $135 inc tax and tip. No dessert. 2 beers and a red wine. Do not for a second fall for the two paragraph “we went to Naples and therefore can make good pizza” on their website. Complete garbage. Family was actually discussing which frozen pizzas we’ve had lately that were better on the way home. We named a bunch. Caesar salad was great. Ribs decent. Pot Pie good. Maybe since we just got back from Italy, or have eaten Frank Pepi, or Grimaldi we are jaded. But this pizza sucked. Sorry Matterhorn. Everything else was decent and the place is quite fun.

Update 3/30/18. Take a pass. Super fun environment. But don’t come for the food. Gave it a second chance. Skipped he pizza. I think my kid drank $20 worth of root beer the waiter suggested when he first ordered a free refill coke. Didn’t tell us it was 3.75 a glass. Thanks. French Onion soup was cold with about 8 ounces of mozzarella and salad croutons dropped in it. How do you screw that up? Anyway. Fun place...

The service was so bad I felt the need to make this. We got there and the bar area was filled so we asked for a seat so we could enjoy a drink after skiing and were brought upstairs to an entirely empty floor. The waitress took our drink order and then when we told her we didn’t want to order any food (we already had drinks at this point and didn’t want to pay $17+ for a junk food appetizer like pretzel sticks) she kicked us out of the empty upstairs seating area saying we had to have food to eat up there in an extremely rude way. We left after that as there was nowhere to sit in the bar and she was so rude! I totally understand not wanting patrons who are only ordering drinks in your dining area when service is busy (I’ve worked in restaurants before) but she literally was sitting on her phone and not a single other party was up there. Horrible and lazy service and would not recommend, there are plenty of other friendly options...

Good food, but get it to go. Front host was exceptionally rude. I get that you won't seat a party until all people are present but talking down to customers isn't okay. Especially when someone else in the party asks a question and you're like "as I told that one..." Seriously lady? Your business is busy, I get it, but just close your eyes and imagine a world where you are reliant on someone else for help. It will happen to you someday and you'll want someone to be respectful when it does. If you can't learn to work with people, kindly get out of the business and leave it to the pros. Kitchen service was slow: Over an hour for a party of 11. And lack of access to the bathroom is a problem in this building. Our wait staff was extremely friendly though. It's a shame management doesn't know as much as Haley does.

TLDR good food but...

Pretty much the quintessential ski bar. Lots of history on the walls...and ceiling. Pizza is the thing, and the Hornlihutte is king but if you're trying to meet someone, be warned its garlic turned up to 11. If you already have someone then he or she needs to eat at least a slice to be able to tolerate you. Live music for Apres and then another band ysually around 930. The line at the bar late can be brutal. I wish they would serve some beers and seltzers at another location near the dance floor to relieve the crush.

Great bar up by Sunday River. It gets very busy once the mountain closes so if you’re not there quickly you’ll be Stuck waiting for an hour + to be sat as it’s first come first serve. They usually have a live band on the weekends that starts around 9pm so if you get there later than 7:30/8 you probably won’t be able to ever get a table, once the waits over an hour and a half they no longer allow you to put your name on the wait list. They have great bar pizza as well !

Great restaurant to come to after a long day of skiing! The vibe here is really cool, and they also have live music! Food here is good, but pricey for what you get. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They also have an arcade with a couple of games! The spinach and artichoke dip came out fast and hot! I would definitely recommend the pizzas and burgers, fish was good too. The desserts are yummy as well! Definitely worth a visit!
