One of the most disorganized bakeries I've ever been to. Went to get some moon cakes for the mid autumn festival and I was prepared to wait as it is a busy time for them. However in the 40 minutes I waited they went through 1 customer in the line. I finally abandoned the store while they chatted with a customer about substitutions to their 40 item online order. This seems to be typical as while this was the worst offender the few other times I've been there they have been similarly disorganized and take a long time to fill simple orders. This disorganization also effects online customers if the number of dissatisfied delivery drivers is anything to go by. Some free advice that I observed from my long long wait:
Put the takeout boxes by the display cases so you don't need to walk to every corner of the store to pick up a takeout box with every order. It is infuriating that 90% of the order time is waiting for them to walk around the store collecting packaging. Hire temporary staff when it comes to big holidays like this (1 person working the bakery and one working the bubble tea is not enough) Have one person working online orders and one working the in person orders. Chipotle does this and it works.
Will not be back as no matter how good the food is it is not worth...
Read moreThis little bakery is a hidden gem! As a big fan of fresh mochi, I have to say, this is the place to go. Their mochi is incredibly soft, fresh and flavorful. I got the 6 piece box ($25) I’ve tried these flavors: strawberry cream, mango cream, Oreo, tiramisu, green tea and red bean. My personal favorites are the strawberry cream and mango cream mochis, they're so light, creamy and perfectly balanced. I hope I can try the taro one soon! You can really taste the care and quality that goes into each one.
Yes, the service can be a bit slow at times, but it's a small, hardworking, Asian owned business doing their best. I’ve seen some unfair 1 star reviews that don’t reflect the love and effort this team puts into their craft. Let’s remember that everyone is learning and growing and small businesses deserve support, not harsh judgment.
If you’re a mochi lover or just want to try something truly delicious and handmade, I highly recommend giving this place a chance. It’s absolutely worth...
Read moreFinally had the chance to stop by this bakery I’ve been meaning to visit and I’m so glad I did! I’ve been on the hunt for fresh mochi, and this place definitely delivered. In addition to their handmade mochi, they offer a variety of pastries, cakes, and milk or fruit teas.
We tried the strawberry cream and mango cream mochi, and they were absolutely delicious, super fresh, with the fruit and cream pairing perfectly with the soft mochi. One fun feature is that you can even customize your own mochi with whatever filling you’d like. For our first visit, we stuck with the pre-made fruit cream options, and they did not disappoint.
Just a heads-up: they’re best enjoyed right away or kept cool, since they can melt and get a bit stickier. Honestly, I could eat a whole handful,...
