Got my daugther's name wrong on the cake then blamed me. Took owner 10 days to get back to me about the issue. She then told me she reviewed the order and the order had it spelled the way it was on the cake. I'm pretty sure I know how to spell my daugther's name and would not have given them the wrong spelling. She also then told me they always have the person check the spelling. I had already told her that I hadn't and certainly wouldn't have taken the cake home with the wrong spelling. They also had my phone number wrong so given that my daugther's name was spelled wrong and they had the wrong phone number, it seems more likely that they have issues with the folks that take orders. I understand that mistakes happen but to blame the customer in this situation is pretty heinous. She also suggested that we had enjoyed the cake b/c it was so tasty. How does one enjoy a cake when the child's name is spelled wrong?? Totally unprofessional and would never go...

We went to The Icing on the Cake for the cake for our wedding last year. Paula sat down with us and helped us design a cake that satisfied me, my mom, and my husband (not an easy feat). The cake was beautiful, delicious, and the delivery to our venue (a harbor cruise) was on time and without issue. I'm writing this review a day after my one year anniversary; we celebrated last night with the top tier of of wedding cake, which had been sitting in our freezer for a year. THE CAKE IS STILL DELICIOUS AND TASTES FRESH! I'm shocked as most people I've spoken to did not enjoy their wedding cake at one year. Most of my friends even recommended that we don't bother keeping the top tier of our cake as it just takes up freezer space. We just used icing on the cake for our wedding cake this past Saturday! The cake was INCREDIBLE. Working with them was such a breeze. We first met back in March for a cake tasting and right away my now husband and I knew that we needed them to do our wedding cake. Paula listened to us and helped us pick different flavors and decorations. It really seemed like she cared about what our vision was and gave us suggestions for that to come to life. Paula was very friendly and it didn’t feel like she was trying to just make a sale. The whole experience felt very personalized to us and what we wanted. We ended up going to another cake tasting that same day however it had a very corporate feeling, bad service, and the cake was awful.
