I recently took my 4-year-old in there trying to find a new regular breakfast spot we can go to at least once a week. I was trying to inquire what they had and had explained that to the cashier lady. But it was no hi welcome or anything like that. She proceeded to tell me how much I owe for a buffet and apparently charged me for a drink as well. I don't eat breakfast I was just getting for my daughter. When going to get a drink for breakfast the only thing they had was soda tea and coffee. No milk or juice, I asked the cashier where they had milk or juice and she told me I have to pay extra for that. Instead of just charging me for a milk instead of the sodas then charge me for a milk as well. The promotion of the unhealthiness, and the thought of drinking soda or iced tea with eggs and bacon is not something I will be bringing my 4-year-old in or for myself to eat ever again. I've never been to a breakfast place or buffet that didn't at least have juice or milk on the drink menu for breakfast. And the food was also cooked...
Read moreWent there on Friday night a few times for their German food buffet. It's pretty good, but it seems to be the same food items the different times we went. The buffet includes drinks (coffee, tea, soda, etc), salad bar, very good homemade bread, and hot food items (ham, sausage and sauerkraut, dumpling and gravy, 2 different kind of soups, and several different dessert options such as bread pudding, cakes, etc).
We also tried their breakfast buffet in Saturday. It was also good. I was really impressed with the cinnamon rolls but had to watch how much I took so I can try out the other food options. They have scrambled eggs (I don't think it's made from fresh eggs though), sausage patties and links, potatoes hash, biscuit (they were cold), sausage gravy, pancakes, and French toast. The buffet includes coffee (it is pretty good coffee), tea, and soda. Milk and juice are extra.
They also sell pies here. I haven't tried any of them yet though.

Read moreSandwiches were dry for us. The chicken noodle soup was good We didn't feel very welcomed. This was the first time for my husband and he was not impressed I suppose the pies were homemade and looked good. My husband got a slice of coconut cream and said it was OK but mine was better I don't usually complain but the over all experience was not the best. When we walked in the side door, a man was standing with his back to us and didn't turn around and he had to hear the door shut. We had no idea if we were supposed to do Go sit in the dining room or order right there. I asked the man and he didn't turn around nor answered. So we looked at the merchandise for sale. Then I had to ask how we were to supposed to do to eat lunch. Not the usual happy face that I expected from a small town eatery. Would try...
