Cover Two Sports Cafe — Restaurant in Newtown

Meals were good but definitely don't order the nachos I should have taken a picture at how bad those were. Bunch of burnt on cheese and a tiny bit of meat we didn't eat most of them . The blond manager women strangely asked our party to move tables to be directly next to a to a young family who were clearly bewildered as us because they decided get up and sit exactly where we were just sitting. .the restaurant was half empty, almost every table in the place was empty and this lady is trying to stack people like sardines. The food runner almost gave our food to the wrong table because the manager didn't inform them of the switch. And then the manager blonde lady complained to us that people kept moving tables around when she was the one who asked us to move and her fault for not informing her help. And then a different food runner tried to give us a few plates of food that somebody else had ordered . Manger lady confuses her employees too Our party still had a great time but the young family with baby and a toddlers may not have felt the same way judging my their reaction to the managers wishes of placing a drinking party against kids in a mostly empty restaurant Most tables stayed empty while we were there. Tell this lady to chill out seemed like the help was scarred of her to he honest loI I definitely wouldn't want to work for her. God bless those poor kids working on her shift 🙏

I have lived in Newtown for about 12 years now and have only been here once before, many years ago.

We have been hearing how people have enjoyed coming here so my wife and I brought our daughters to check it out this weekend.

We had a great experience. The staff is excellent! Very accommodating and efficient. We were never left waiting for anything and they were good with my young daughters.

The atmosphere is good for me. Its a typical sports bar atmosphere. Its fun and I find it as a place I would spend time in. We were in the back room. Its a little drab back there but not horrible. Maybe a different color on the walls or something but not a major complaint and just my opinion.

The food was great! They have a good menu of everything you would think for at a sports bar/restaurant. Burgers and fries were excellent. My wife had the boneless chicken wings and they were really good also. My one daughter got the mac and cheese. Finally a place where you arent paying $13 for a box of Kraft and I believe someone is actually making the cheese sauce back in the kitchen, at least it seemed that way. Thank you for that! It was good.

Beer selection was very good as well, lots of options.

We had a really good time and we said to ourselves, why havent we been going here sooner. We will be going here much more often.

My family and I have been coming here for years and we loved the food and atmosphere and respectfully ever since the management changed we have really seen a decline in service. I was a day off from my birthday and they wouldn’t honor my birthday wings and that would have never happened in the past especially for someone like us that come here so often and bring so much business to the establishment. Another thing that is frustrating is they have a jukebox however if the manager wants to play his music your not able to cue anything up but you aren’t told that so you end wasting the money you used to cue up songs. We wasted $10 last time. We also used to LOVE their fall drink menu and we have noticed that they no longer do that either. We used to order cocktails all the time here but their speciality cocktails aren’t as good as they used to be. Most of the waiters we deal with are great we love them it’s more so things that are out of their control that they aren’t able to help us with. Unfortunately it just feels like the care for the customers isn’t there like it used to be.
