Jordy's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Nicholasville

I've been there to eat twice. The first time was with a friend of mine and had breakfast and the food was great and the place was packed. The second time I went there was with my Wife. (her first time there) There weren't many people there at 7:00 pm that night. The food was still really good BUT, while setting at our booth eating, a roach crawled across our table towards my wife's food.( knocked it off the table ). About 4 min later, here comes it's other buddy down the wall towards the table. ( I smashed it on the metal tin wall) Then about 10 min later, I seen something out the corner of my eye moving on the floor from under our booth ( a 3rd buddy ) going across the floor. The waitress on her way away from checking on us finaly seen it and nonchalantly stepped on it when she seen it. Oh boy was the food good! After not wanting to wait 40 minutes at a chain restaurant, we opted for no-wait Jordys. Located at a closed gas station we almost didn't go in. Glad we did!

First impression was that of a clean, bright, no-frill family restaurant. The Hispanic waitress was very sweet and we went with her recommendation: the kickin' chicken sandwich. Yumm! With fries this was a generous portion. My mother-in-law tried the fried chicken and commented on how juicy and lightly panko-breaded the huge tenders were. Needless to say she can eat 3 times on that big portion 😊. We also tried tacos, one with fish and the other with beef tongue ("tong" on the menu). Also delicious at a price if $2.50 ea. The coke came in a chilled, half litre (500ml) bottle, from Mexico, with cane sugar and not corn syrup. No refills of course on that. ❤️ WE...

Have tried just about everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Good is always fresh and full of flavor.has become a weekly stop. Their menu is filled with a variety like no other breakfast all day Mexican food American food all cooked fresh to order cheeseburgers that are out of this world burritos the size of newborns and everything is just so fresh The last thing I ordered I thought I would try their New Orleans pasta the peppers came out perfect it was the perfect amount of spice and savory creaminess everybody else at the table had a burger their fried chicken some shrimp and if it's available because it seems to be a hot thing with them is their tamales...
