El Pueblito #3 — Restaurant in Niles Township

Brought my daughter here for the first time to try chicken tacos. We ordered a chicken taco dinner. My husband and I ordered a steak taco dinner and carne asada plate. This place is pricey to begin with our total about $64. The food was not of quality, and the chicken tacos were EXTREMELY dry. My daughter tried to eat it, but was able to do it, so she ended up asking if should could order something instead. After the lady as the front desk went to ask for permission there was a gentle that came out…almost instantly yelling about how that can afford to waste food and refused to offer a substitute for her meal. We told we can purchase an entire new meal, but no refunds and no exchanges!!!! So make sure you pick your meals wisely here, because it’s NO TAKE BACKS if you discover you don’t like it after your first bite! Just RIDICULOUS. I mean how are you loosing to replace chicken breast?? Much cheaper than steak, right! And bigger loss for customers who won’t decide to eat here after reading this experience. My advice, is to please reason with your customers…not everyone is just complaining just to be complaining or to automatically argue. We simply just wanted something because the chicken taco dinner was horrible and the steak taco dinner was too! And please get rid of that awful spoiled smell coming from the back! This place has good food. Only gave three stars because the worker a young girl with no respect talked to me with and attitude didn't know what was going on the young lady that was helping me asked her a question and this girl came on the phone talking to me very disrespectful. I asked for no onions in my husband's burrito he is allergic to onions, and there were onions in his food also in mine, and I staid no onions, and they added onions. I live in Morton Grove. I called and told the lady what was going on, and she said to come back and you have to pay for the new burritos I asked qhy I'm bringing back the burritos and you guys made the mistake why would I pay for the food again, then a very very rude lady came on the phone and talked to me like I was a girl on the street very unprofessional and very rude. Ordered take out over the phone and food was ready when I arrived. It was close to closing time and did they really screw my order up. They had 2 things right on the whole order, the drinks and 1 of the tacos. The order had 9 tacos more than we ordered, and under normal circumstances would have been great, but none of us eat meat, just chicken. I call the restaurant at 9:57pm, 3 min before close and explain to the lady about my order, and that's when it happened, the hang up! It was so predictable, I knew it was going to happen. I try calling back immediately and to no surprise it just kept ringing, and did I let it ring! My first experience here was not to bad, the food was ok, nothing memorable but in a pinch it worked well.
